Nine won last night with an improved share while 10 posted its best Monday share of the 2020 survey. ABC finally gained a bit of traction with its line up posting it highest share in 7 weeks. Seven, however, lost ground to its lowest Monday share in 10 weeks despite winning in Adelaide and Perth. 10 again ranked second in Melbourne, and won the key demographic groups.

MasterChef was again the clear winner in the reality battle. The Voice posted a season low and Big Brother was well down on recent results. Both were beaten by Have You Been Paying Attention? that recorded its best result for 6 weeks.

Outside the top 20, Q+A was 24th, Kinne Tonight 25th and 10 years Younger just 28th.

Nine increased its share from last Monday despite a season low for The Voice. Normally, when programs lost audience from last week, the network’s share should also be lower.
Hot Seat beat The Chase in the east coast, setting up wins for Nine News in the same region.
The debut of 10 Years Younger in 10 Days reboot flopped hard for Seven.

Who is actually watching The Voice? Mostly 55+ ?

If no other show dropped that makes sense.( A 100% share is still worked out even if every single show drops.)
But Sevens shows also dropped, whereas Nine saw growth 6-7:30pm.

Big news numbers in Melbourne given the COVID situation.

@TV.Cynic Any afternoon news figures for Adelaide? (nvm, saw the article  )

Ratings: MasterChef and Have You Been Paying Attention? lead Monday as the Voice and Big Brother lose audience.

It’s seems all 3 realities are taking a bit of a slide as they drag on. With the person that left last night on Big Brother I won’t be surprised if it turns some viewers off. MasterChef is still doing very well but I think it’s losing some momentum as they stretch it out and reduce the nights. We would usually be having a finals week at this stage but not this year and it starting to peak

The Guy Sebastian doco did well for something that ran quite late. Airing musical content off the back of The Voice seems to keep a fair few viewers.

I was actually wondering if 378k was a good number or not - it seems most of their music docos rate around the mid-high 300ks, especially when it airs after The Voice. They’ve done ABBA, Queen, Whitney Houston and the Music from the Homefront repeat last week - from memory, most (if not all) of them were also in the 300ks

With Angela going, I predict BB will mostly stay in the 600ks. Masterchef looks like it’ll continue the trend of being the highest-rated, especially when it goes closer to the finale.

I’m interested to see what ratings are for The Voice next week - they’re airing the playoffs Sunday-Tuesday so it’s back to 3 days a week. With the changes due to COVID, I wonder if that will make people turn off the TV or make it more compelling. There’s a mixed reaction online about Kelly and George ‘sitting’ on their chairs virtually, and the show seems to be declining in viewers each round.

A big night for 10. BB and Voice slipping, the latter’s demographics concerning (missing the Top 5 and Seven ranking No. 2 in 16-39s ahead of Nine last night according to Cynic’s article).

It’ll be interesting to see whether The Voice will be renewed - BB and Masterchef are already confirmed to return next year but no word for The Voice just yet.
Wouldn’t be a surprise to me if they decide to rest the show for a year or two, considering it hasn’t been performing well in the demos.

Last night’s ratings of 777k is the lowest of the season - the lowest before was a battle ep last week at 860k.

If they do that, unless they come up with a really good refresh to justify the show’s return, Nine should say goodbye.

Hmm you’re probably right - my guess is Nine will renew it for at least another season or until it becomes a complete ratings disaster (like MKR this year). They already refreshed the show with the ‘All-Stars’ concept and having new hosts this season - I can’t really see what else they can do.

Looking at total viewership, many people would be shocked if The Voice gets axed. However, from the ‘key demos’ point of view it’s barely making the Top 5 and has such a big budget as well.

Did the 2pm edition of The Chase do anything exciting? And do better than The Daily Edition? I know its just filler at the moment and just day 1 of it, so im not expecting much from it. lol

Good to see Masterchef beat The Voice and Big Brother.
