Australian Survivor crowned a winner last night with 650,000 tuning in to watch after almost 600,000 watched the rest of the final episode. That was the highest rated episode of the season and helped deliver 10 its highest Monday share of the year. The result was up on last year’s final that had 551,000 and 631,000.

Across this season the show averaged 483,000 in linear viewing and approximately 550,000 in 7-day catchup. The highest rated normal episode was 549,000 (Sunday) with the lowest 369,000 (Thursday). The show was a powerhouse in BVOD viewing though with Total TV numbers reaching over 900k to significantly outrate the 2022 season.

Married At First Sight, however, remained the number one reality show of the night for it final regular episode of the season as the “experiment” drew to a close. The audience of 909,000 compared to 1,008,000 for the equivalent episode of 2022. That was followed by the return of RPA that did well to average 419,000 on a competitive night. That saw Nine an 8-point winner. At 7pm, A Current Affair was notable for its biggest audience of the year.

Second-placed Seven, without a reality franchise, slipped by three with one episode of Highway Patrol its best effort post 7.30pm on 300k. Earlier Seven News recorded its best Monday audience of the year with wins in all markets except Brisbane with the winning trend in Sydney continuing from recent weeks. Home and Away also did well to top 500k.

ABC’s Monday was up slightly on recent results with Four Corners the nominal top rated 8.30 show at almost 500,000. Australian Story and Media Watch were also not far off the 500k level all up on recent numbers.

Good figures fo Survivor. Seven would’ve been cooked if it wasn’t for news.

Very close between Sunrise and Today by the looks of things.

Excellent results for Survivor finale, beating MAFS in all major demos in Sydney. However, the sneak peek of Paramount+ series Rabbit Hole missed the top 20.

The 8000th episode of Home and Away came third in the timeslot.

Hats off to Ten. That is an outstanding result for Survivor especially considering the lack of promotion compared to other shows.

not sure why everyone gets so excited about the ratings results for 1 show - and the last one at that. Over the series, it has underperformed.

Survivor has consistently performed well this year. It have been very competitive especially in key demos and have got a big boost each episode in live and delayed BVOD viewing. Overall, it has rated higher than last year’s successful season which is not very common in today’s rating environment. It also seems to have reduced the total TV audience for MAFS as the season has progressed.

Survivor winner announced looks like the #1 program in Sydney last night which is an incredible feat against MAFS! Will be interesting to see how they maintain this momentum for the next season.
Nine news - some concerning numbers. Wonder if this could be the last year we see Hot Seat at 5.30pm?!

A half an hour earlier timeslot than last week helped increased its ratings.

Alao, good job for the Survivor Finale.

It wasn’t the finale of Married at First Sight.

Watched RPA last night. It had some really interesting cases including a man with several brain aneurysm’s ready to burst.

I was going to ask if anyone watched it last night. I know there’s been some interest in the reboot but for those who watched, did it live up to the expectations and was it as good as the classic?

At least Q&A was able to beat breakfast television.

Just.

I think it stayed fairly true to the original. Pacing was good, story arcs interesting.

Very pleased to see Home and Away crack the 500k, especially for its 8000th episode. Long may this iconic Aussie soap continue.
