Narrow win for Nine. AGT semi final disappoints, drawing the show’s second lowest number this series. The Block and Survivor are both up with Survivor recording its biggest audience since launch. This Time Next Year drops 80k from the season launch but beats Seven’s Rookie that was 4th in its timeslot.

Nine won the three east coast markets with Seven ahead in the other two with Adelaide the stand out performer for Seven.

This Time Next Year fell from last week’s premiere but did enough to help Nine winning the night. TTNY beat HYBPA in Brisbane.
Something went wrong with AGT, losing more than 220,000 viewers from Sunday’s season high.

Weak night for multi-channels, even though no Ashes cricket. Indicates not many people channel surfing and no 1m+ hits outside of news. So it seems many had their TV off?

But still a big drop from Sunday night’s over 1.1m metro, seems on Monday to Wednesday at least Seven and especially 10 will have chances to capitalise this year (we already saw Bachelor beat it one night last week!)

It’s merely a continuation of the trend which has emerged over the last few weeks - the show does really well on Sunday’s but underperforms on Monday’s for some reason

AGT’s poor performance especially for a semi-final underlined by ranking just 12th in key demo groups.

I just think most reality shows for 7 will always rate on Sundays. Simply because they have the AFL all weekend advertising. I think people start to go back to changing the channel come the working week. Which begs the question could 7 find something cheaper to occupy the Sunday slot rather than an expensive AGT?

Great figures again for Survivor and HYBPA?. The demos are good although a loss in the 18-49 isn’t ideal for the Survivor even if its by 1k.

Are AFL supporters really that dense?:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Nine powering along to yet another victory?

Probably isn’t correct RE AFL. However, 7 seem to have always been able to draw an audience in on a Sunday. House Rules performed decently on a Sunday and then fell on Mondays. MKR saw good figures on Sundays. It just seems to be a given that 7 can get those sorts of figures (800k) on Sundays. Every show they have had in that slot has got a similar figure.

What has happened to 9 News Melbourne?

Celebrity Name Game is now officially rating worse than Pointless. Another disaster to add to the long list of 6pm failures on Ten.

Huge jump for Neighbours. Was last night a special episode?

Watched 4 Corners last night to hear what they had to say about defects in new apartments, but while interesting, it really didn’t say all that much aside of warning people not to buy into new apartment developments (too late!).

It’s quite bad isn’t it.

I personally can’t see why its been going downhill - the quality of the bulletin certainly hasn’t dropped…

Today show stench and lack of faith in the Nine News brand.

Could this more so have been a possible reason for the SWM board’s decision with Worner?

Much better numbers for Survivor last night. Those are more the figures Ten should be expecting from their tent pole shows.

AGT numbers are disappointing for a semi-final. I think it was the wrong move to pre-record the series and get rid of public voting. The show needs that at this point to gain a bit more momentum.

Maybe because most people thought the semi finals started Sunday to only be disappointed :stuck_out_tongue: False advertising?

The semi-finals did start last night as advertised… Sunday was always advertised as the final audition.

Meant to say start Sunday night. All weekend they were advertising the semi finals… While watching the AFL on Saturday night the semi finals were advertised as beginning.

They should just slot news in there. Half-hour of local news would work a treat. And it would definitely build an audience.
