#2

Decent debuts for Dancing and Bad Mothers. Dancing looks to have skewed old right?

Home and Away struggles ad MKR looks down as a result. Diabolical numbers for Instant Hotel — it needs to be moved asap. Could the new year get any worse for Seven? It has been a shocker so far.

#3

Not a bad start for Dancing WTS, a bit older skewing than Ten is used to though. MKR loses 200k in its new 7.30pm timeslot and possibly losing some viewers to Ten . Home and Away is back with 100k fewer viewers than this time last year. Preliminary number for Bad Mothers is good – how many will be back next week?

Biggest shock is the disastrous number for Today.

#4

Do tell!

#5

MKR down again thanks to Home and Away being a dud on return. Married still the same and Bad Mothers does alright, though I expect the number to drop.

Dancing did well for a reboot and for 10’s standards. Not flash hot but decent and keeps them competitive.

#6

Good start for Bad Mothers (despite negative comments on social media) and DWTS. Isn’t it a good thing for Ten that DWTS skewed old - it needed more of them so they would watch other shows on Ten’s line-up like Ambulance, SVU, Graham Norton Show, Blue Bloods etc.
DWTS took viewers away from MKR but failed to dent the ratings of Married at First Sight. Instant Hotel was a big casualty out of this.

#7

Dancing did as expected. I don’t think that is too bad considering its competition. However, 600k isn’t flash considering the amount they promoted it. The demos aren’t flash either.

Bad Mothers did really well on debut.

MKR has dropped big time.

#8

In line with my thoughts on a different thread - big investment to come third, and away from MAFS and MKR would have done a lot better. It is a great show.

MKR struggling in both Total and Demo - looks like it is skewing older as well now. MAFS has the audience tied up.

#9

But it went for nearly 2 and half hours. 10 will be happy no doubt at total people. It mightve grown as the other realities ended

#10

Today was 10,000 below the previous low seen a couple of weeks ago and about 120,000 behind Sunrise and behind in all markets.

Today
#11

It honestly couldn’t be a better time for 10 to jump into the breakfast market now.

#12

10 would be happy with 3rd in total people and 3rd in demos? I don’t think so. 2 and a half hours or not 600k is simply not flash. 10 have managed much larger figures from 7:30-10pm last year.

#13

I wonder if Seven will switch it back if it doesn’t improve. People might have been annoyed at the show starting later this year.

So an ex Ch 7 show beats Home and Away … just lol.

They have Lisa Wilkinson just need someone else… edited : just read elsewhere he is on contract.

#14

For the last time, Karl is on contract at Nine so they won’t be able to get him.

Plus why do they have to get Karl? Someone else would be nice. But in all honesty this talk of breakfast TV is bullocks right now. 10 have made it clear that they’re not going to focus on Breakfast TV for a while so why bother?

#15

They need to work on now. Did you see what changing rooms got last week? And what followed?
10 will be breathing a sigh of relief it wasnt 208k yes. And only 100k behind MKR instead of 300-500k behind.
Also ive read for its total timeslot it just nabbed 2nd spot maybe cynic can confirm and its position in demos as we can only see it came in 3rd in one demo up there.

#16

MAFS is unstoppable, but DWTS & MKR could do better with decent lead-ins. The Project should have been axed years ago & it’s time to move Home & Away to multichannels. Bad Mothers did well off MAFS. The real test will be next week because feedback after Ep 1 was not good.

#17

DWTS obviously down as it’s being done from Sydney now :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

#18

Of course. I didn’t say it was a shocking figure. Its still not a flash figure. Simple. It would be below what 10 expected a few weeks ago, I believe.

I don’t think I would crow about that though. Fact is in the crutial 7:30-8:30 slot it was well behind the competition.

#19

Whilst the Dancing with the Stars launch wasn’t huge, it’s pretty much maintained the I’m a Celeb audience and the fact that it ran from 7.30 - 9.40pm to get those numbers is pretty decent. Although it didn’t do that great in demos so audience must have skewed older.

Is last night one of MKRs lowest numbers ever?

Seven have ruined Home and Away and only have themselves to blame. The double/triple episodes and then the long break has made it impossible for anyone to keep up or maintain interest.

#20

What’s your explanation for the rise of MAFS? :grimacing:
