Nine was back on top of Monday night’s ratings with its best share for 4 weeks. After receiving a boost from the launch of Big Brother last Monday, Seven’s share dropped back close to its average Monday share, down more than three share points week-on-week. Over at 10, the network scored its equal highest Monday share of the 2020 survey.

Nine again won all markets except Perth where Seven was on top as 10 placed second again in Melbourne. 10 was the top rated network in all younger demographic groups with its best result in 16-39 where it was nine points clear.

For the second night in a row MasterChef was the top rated entertainment show, posting its highest Monday audience since the show launched nine weeks ago. The Voice was also up with its best result for three weeks. Big Brother slipped again to its lowest result so far.

In 25-54 demo group MasterChef ranked first with The Voice third and Big Brother fourth. Have You Been Paying Attention was the other stand out performer winning its timeslot and ranking second across key demos.

The so-called cheating scandal boosted The Voice’s numbers, not far behind MasterChef.
I reckon BB will stabilise at around 650,000 mark but should rise again in the final weeks.

The difference a week can make.

It’s still competitive in the demos though which Seven would be focusing more on. It wouldn’t want to slip much further. House Rules had similar total viewer numbers but was rarely in the top 5 of the demos.

Not really. Masterchef dominating.

It is a reflection of the quality of the show really. Hopefully it sinks further.

does it though? BB is getting roundly beaten in the demos by a 12 year old cooking show and is virtually neck and neck in 18-49 with an 8 year old singing show, that most regard as being on its last legs.

I meant competitive as in it ranking in the top 5 in every deno unlike 7’s other realities MKR and House Rules this year. TAhe show actually isn’t that bad this year. Much better than the last seasons on 9 and 10.

I think you misunderstood Affable’s point. And Big Brother is also 12 seasons in.

I don’t mind the program it’s just getting super repetitive. Same episode structure every. fucking. night.

The challenges aren’t that exciting either.

Not sure why people still focus on total viewers when networks have shifted focus to the demos.

You think this version is better than the 2012 comeback year on Nine and the 2013 year that most BB fans cite as the best series ever? Good shows attract new viewers and retain current viewers - bad shows shed viewers every day.

More ratings information. Very poor result for Q&A

He never said it was better but it’s still doing ok. It’s competitive in the demos and total people. It was massive on catch up as well. Total people are only a small part of what makes a show successful.

Personally I hated the Nine years but I was referring to the 2008 season on Ten and 2014 season on Nine respectively when I said this version was better.

Great to see Have You been Paying Attention continue to do well and Kinne Tonight has strong ratings for its timeslot. Should get the green light for another season.

Bring back Big Brother Uncut, that’s the only decent part of the show

Big Brother continues to decline each episode. Where were all those people that supposedly “forgot” to watch Big Brother on Sunday because it premiered on a Monday? Did they forget again?

MasterChef very well in demos and The Voice really levelled out with Big Brother.

HYBPA is also still showing every network that shows post-8.30pm can rate.

Plus a show at 9:45pm can as well.
