The Voice steady with last week’s low. Still dominating but not to the same extent as earlier in the season. MasterChef health numbers but news Monday low for House Rules. S.W.A.T. off to a poor start.

Are those ratings for The Voice similar to the finals last year?

The Voice has really lost viewers in this later stage. The episodes are too long and the finals stage is far too rushed. The fact that last night was the first opportunity for the public to vote and it ends on Sunday is pretty much a joke. I think next year they need to mix it up a bit and give the audience a chance to vote during live battles. That would make it a lot more exciting as viewers are tiring of the judges antics and some of their bizarre choices.

Not a bad start for SBS World Movies channel. Just needs more promotions.
S.W.A.T. flopped as the show had aired on Foxtel before.
Low share for 7TWO as Wimbledon began. Seven will be looking for a ratings boost as Ashleigh Barty starts her campaign tonight.
MasterChef, HYBPA and House Rules all down on last week.

Last year’s third final was watched by 821,000.

Decent figures for The Project 7pm, whilst double eps of Seinfeld doesn’t appear to have made much of a difference for Peach.

welcome to the ratings world, SBS World Movies.

The Voice doing average numbers for Finals. But maybe the long duration (and format) is dragging the numbers down?

HYBPA doing great numbers for Ten, increasing on Masterchef’s numbers.

I guess Nine can’t please everyone. Last year all the finals were shown live and people complained they were too long, so this year it had the first two finals filmed in advance, but then they said the public couldn’t vote. The finals episodes are long because of the large number of contestants. Do you want just 12 or less artists for the finals next year?

Outside the top 20

S.W.A.T. 22nd and 26th.

Kinne Tonight 25th in 16-39 it ranked 7th beating House Rules.

Solid ratings for the Kinne season finale, I think it will get a renewal based on how it’s done following HYBPA.

Less artists for sure. They go through battle rounds to whittle it down to 3 per team and then they all go and pick a wild card as well which just unnecessarily adds 4 more contestants and is a waste of time. If there are going to be so few live shows we don’t need so many contestants to make them. Plus the pre-recorded shows aren’t much shorter. These episodes are going way too long still.

Another night (one of many in recent times) of “6.30pm switchover” for the Sydney news bulletins. When is Nine finally going to realise that they need to reformat how their second half is presented?

I think what SBS World Movies needs is more external (ie, not just across SBS TV & radio) promotion.

Indeed, it’s good to see the channel included in the ratings from Day 1!
