RIP Steve Raymond OAM
The radio industry is mourning the death of legendary broadcaster Steve Raymond OAM, a man considered part of the DNA of Sydneyâs 2WS and WSFM.
In a tribute posted to social media, longtime friend and colleague Pete Graham said Steve â brother of Channel 7âs Mike Raymond â loved the station with a depth and loyalty we donât often see anymore.
And was uncle of Andy Raymond, former Fox commentator.

Actress Kelly Curtis has died at 69.
English rugby league great and broadcaster John Kear has died at 71.
Veteran stage actor and director Chung King-fai on Wednesday passed away in his sleep at the age of 89.
Affectionately known as âKing Sirâ, Chung was the founding Dean of the School of Drama at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and is best remembered for being a mentor to generations of performers.
In a career spanning decades, he worked as an actor, director, drama educator, television producer, host and voice-over artist.
Veteran aviation journalist Geoffrey Thomas has died at 74. There were several social media posts which said that Geoffrey was admitted into palliative care last weekend.

Iâm pretty sure people know who Anthony Head is, in his own right. This line was not necessary.
Thereâll be generations who have no idea who Murray is.
Nothing wrong with adding some info to a link posted. I didnât know Murray Head was his brother.
No, but itâs just the way the post read. Ian couldâve just kept it as the link, but the addition of âMurrayâs brotherâ makes it sound like Anthony was a nobody and that Murray is known.
Which is absolutely not the case, at all.
I didnât see it that way at all. It really doesnât matter and wasnât worth the whinge.
