I did notice that this season the contestants were using LG ovens rather than Ariston ovens. IIRC Ariston had provided the ovens to the show since the first season in 2009.
Did anyone notice that Jack was missing from tonight’s cook? He has not had a lot of airtime this season (rarely gets shown extensively) so easy to miss but I paused the group at the end and he definitely wasn’t there. I don’t think I missed an explanation? Hopefully just sick and back tomorrow so they didn’t make a point of it .
Answering my own question: I saw Jack do a post on Instagram this morning saying that he was unwell and is back in tonight’s episode participating in the elimination.
They must think that it’s early enough in the season that most people wouldn’t notice. There are episodes where some contestants don’t even really get shown. Jack has been one of those contestants that has had very little airtime so far. I’ve only really seen his cooking feature a couple of times. Still they should have said something IMO. When I picked up on it, I just automatically wondered if I had missed an episode or mention of it.
The contestant who made the best dish in tonight’s elimination episode would receive $10,000 thanks to Ancestry.com. Olaolu was adjudged as the winner.
