MasterChef Australia

Is this going to be like Top Gear where the three sign up for a new show on a rival network like Nine or Seven?

I’ve heard there has been a major offer from a network in India

MKR! :joy:
(Honestly wouldn’t be surprised seeing as there’s a new EP and overall network director for the series)

Or even perhaps a streaming platform like Netflix or Amazon? The trio’s popularity overseas means there would be a loyal fanbase for whatever they do next

All I was trying to say is that it could work with new judges. I’m not saying that it will, but no doubt there are people who don’t like the current judges for whatever reason. Some viewers may leave in protest, some others may return and new people may give it a go. Time will tell.

I think Poh should go on the judging panel next season

Surely Curtis stone will be a lock?

ā€œā€¦as for the line up for next year… There’s plenty of interestā€.

He lives and works in the US. Filming commitment is around 6 months. Seems unlikely.

With low ratings this season, I think 10 have made the right decision. The show needs to go in a different direction next year.

Especially with who owns the network these days, surely MasterChef isn’t the be all and end all for Ten?

Yep, I agree. Even though all three judges have been popular in the past, with the ratings as they have been this year + the recent George Calombaris scandals you can’t entirely blame Ten for deciding that MasterChef needs to move into a new direction for a new decade.

Introducing at least one female judge would probably be a good idea as well.

Massive news.

Imagine if they got Gordon Ramsay on board!

Julie Goodwin?

Gabriel Gate, Iain ā€œHeweyā€ Hewitsan and Geoff Jansz - next year’s new hosts :stuck_out_tongue:

I think she’s busy with her commitments to breakfast radio on the NSW Central Coast, among other things.

10 Exec: Just get Grant Denyer, Julia Morris and Chris Brown to do it.

Remember Chris Brown is a vet not a chef

George needed to go but disappointed to see Matt and Gary gone too.
Poh would be a great replacement but pleaseee not the insufferable Matt Sinclair.

I’m sure she would jump at an offer from Masterchef over regional breakfast radio.

It’d be relatively easy to juggle - Star 104.5 is owned by Nova Entertainment, so she could do the radio gig from Melbourne while they’re filming there

Yeah she could do it from Nova’s Richmond Melbourne studios
