To Nine: Why has Peter Overton been missing from your coverage so far? He’s the main face of your news service in Sydney and to some extent nationally, so you should be using him for the rolling coverage of this major Breaking News event IMO.

Mind you, similar can be said about Seven not having Mark Ferguson as part of the rolling coverage even though both Michael Usher and Ann Sanders are definitely far better presenters than Fergo is.

Because his shift starts at 5.55pm. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Love seeing Usher in this role. He brings a sense of authority to the bulletin/broadcast.

And furthermore getting out from the desk doing a standing presentation. All state** bulletins need to do this more often.

Have to agree with Cynic.

Seven once again have had by far the most superios rolling coverage.

From all the presenters to the journalists on the ground to the clear research and co-ordination going on across the network.

Even getting Peter Mitchell and Nick McCallum to take the reins for a period, as Michael Usher and Ann Sanders planned/set up in Sydney.

Thorough analysis and reporting too, including use of world feeds.

All three UK correspondents now on board too (Hugh, Cath and Ben). Wonder if Chris, Robert, Laurel, Nick or someone will fly out and join them.

(Seven already had Brendan Donohue and Laurel Irving overaeas filing different stories the past week).

Or 3:50pm:

It seems that only Melbourne is going to “local news” on Nine.

Seven now has a graphic:

Absolutely. Even though I would have liked just Ann solo, Seven was all class in comparison to Nine.

As at 4.56, Seven has now ceased their rolling coverage citing more coverage in tonight’s Seven News at 6.

Nine also ending coverage.
