And it just ends? They didn’t offer the money or love? So confused. I know they did it the other night but the point is to do it with the winners.

They haven’t done the Love or money part in the original UK version for a few years now. For me they were the only deserving winners, very happy with that result.
Happy that a certain someone leaking that they are still together with their partner did not work in getting them the win.

EM AND MERCEDES WIN LOVE ISLAND AUSTRALIA 2024
AND $50,000
In one of the most challenging series yet, Em and Mercedes have conquered the test of tough love to be crowned the winners of Love Island Australia 2024, alongside their fellow finalists, Mia and Niko and Kaylah and Eric.
Em entered the Villa as an OG and her connection with the striking Bomb, Mercedes, was clear to everyone, including the nation, not only through their physical attraction but their common goals of travel and adventure.
Host, Sophie Monk, said: “This year’s season has been incredibly addictive. The response has been phenomenal – that’s a big word I don’t throw around – the cast were so entertaining, and production did a corker of a job. Congratulations to Em and Mercedes. If you haven’t watched it, you should. It’ll get you hooked.”
Em, from Sydney, NSW, said: “Watching Mercedes and I has been so sweet, he was definitely my comfort in the Villa and it’s been nice watching that back and seeing how unserious and goofy we were together.”
Mercedes, from Dallas, Texas, said: “The Love Island Australia experience has been amazing, one of the best experiences of my life. My journey with Em has been beautiful to watch and I have come out with a girlfriend and many friends for life.”
Towards the end of the series, the top five couples received a life-changing offer as individuals, testing who was in it for love or money, with up to $20,000 up for grabs from Sophie Monk to leave the Villa immediately. They all turned down the cash and chose love. Luckily for Em and Mercedes, they get to walk away with both love and an equal share of the winning cash prize of $50,000.
Love Island Australia season six has seen year-on-year growth with the launch episode recording a whopping 516,000 audience on 9Now, the highest rating episode on 9Now in franchise history. Season to date, Love Island Australia 2024 has recorded an average VOD BVOD audience of 391,000, and 662M VOD minutes.

Obviously, the Daily Mail will be kept busy though having a new batch of reality show “stars” to write articles that will definitely be looked on as “high quality” pieces of journalism and not gossip trash

Deadline reported that Love Island USA Season 7 hit another milestone, reaching 1 billion minutes viewed across nine episodes last week. The report also notes that the June 23 episode, following the controversial dumping and the beginning of Casa Amor, has been the most-watched season-to-date. Peacock says that 39% of Love Island USA viewers are new to the series this season.

The stars of Love Island Australia Season 6 have expressed their surprise after making an unexpected cameo in Adam Sandler’s long-awaited film Happy Gilmore 2.

They tried that previously and it didn’t rate well hence why it’s become a program which premieres on 9Now.

Regardless of platform, I will be curious to see how both LI and BB will rate against each other, being rather similar formats (only real difference is LI being Love focused, while BB isn’t exclusively Love-focused)
It absolutely would not, Love Island Australia is one of the worst versions out there and the fact that they have been pre recording the show for the last 4 seasons has not helped with audience engagement.
