karl is pretty right wing. when I heard his podcast I thought he was angling for a job on sky after dark. but who knows
Ok ok⌠KIIS is becoming a laugh with these theories.
They cannot afford Karl. He wonât be coming across.
And am I reading that theyâre thinking of the high-rating former 2DayFM breakfast co-host Erin Molan to join the team? (sarcasm here)
Please. Itâll be Mike E holding the fort until/if/when Kyleâs matter is sorted, or he (or Jackie) returns.
If ARN have enough cash to pay for Karl, theyâd have enough cash to lure better radio talent across, or settle it with Kyle.
I think these are great ideas.
I think itâs obvious they should put Gold national on FM and have a younger format on 106.5 and 101.1, whatever they call them.
I think itâs a pity theyâve just rebranded Adelaide to KIIS. If theyâd held off a couple of months that would it have made it easier to launch Gold 102.3
I donât think itâs a problem in Brisbane, the KIIS brand has been around a while but nobody calls the station that anyway, itâs still just â97 threeâ to everyone. Gold 97.3 would be an easy rebrand, or just revert back to 97.3FM with Gold imagery. People would love it.
Iâve also always said they should roll out Cruise on DAB nationally as an older classic hits station.
96.1 would be a perfect toe in the water for FM talk.
All extremely sensible ideas that will surely be completely overlooked by the geniuses at ARN.
Another bold idea is not only re-brand KIIS Brisbane & Adelaide to GOLD, but then re-brand KIIS1011 to CADA1011 (or EDGE1011) with a similar hip-hop/RnB format.
Then, that only leaves Sydney as the sore point of the network.
If anyone looking for that 20 Aug KJ show where Jackie walked out and back few mins later. Its on the KJ podcast on spotify.
How much lower can it go? Ouch

I was looking up the court documents and Kyleâs case is set for 22 to 26 June 2026

Nothing yet under Jackieâs case file CCP
The Age / SMH is reporting that Karl is heading to Gold and not KIIS as discussed above.
I wonder if Karl is going to replace COC in the breakfast slot then
And reunite with Alex Cullen
I wonder if Karl is going to replace COC in the breakfast slot then
There was an article today about it only being a weekly show.
96.1 would be a perfect toe in the water for FM talk.
It would be a pretty jarring format change on a station where it mainly rotates Dance & RnB to then pivot towards Talkback, not sure where they would acquire audience from or track audience considering 96.1 isnât included in survey.
Ben Fordham has little interest in becoming the new Kyle Sandilands as ARN scrambles to find a worthy replacement.
Fordhamâs name has been thrown around alongside Karl Stefanovic to replace the shock jock in the highly-regarded breakfast slot, but the 2GB man is not tempted to jump ship.
âI highly doubt it,â he told news.com.au.
Kyle Sandilands reconsiders buying ARN as radio networkâs value drops
The source said Kyle was torn about whether to buy the broadcaster at the moment because of the plummeting share prices.
âHe is concerned about the finances and managementâŚit is not really a great company for him,â the source said.
The source explained that the broadcaster is a âticking time bombâ due to the amount of debt they have.
The source added that if Kyle did take over ARN, that might be âgood newsâ for investors, because at the very least, there would be a flagship show again.
Forgive my ignorance on matters financial, but wouldnât a potential buyer want the share price as low as possible? Swoop in and buy it at a bargain basement price and then get to work turning it around and driving the share price up?
If he buys it he might have to pay out Jackieâs contract ![]()
If ARN is in debt where is ARN going to get the $80 million to pay Jackie and another $80 million to pay Kylie then?
Very unusual action today for the stock.
There wasnât any news about the company whatsoever.
Yet 7 million shares changed hands (most since Dec 3) and the stock hit 22.5 cents at dayâs high, a spike of 25%.
But well, a small gain is better for ARN than a heavy loss.
Very unusual action today for the stock.
Kyle Sandilands bought a lot of shares. ![]()
Buy the dip, as they say.
