Always thinking of the listeners. :joy:

I’d be very surprised if his “medical team” don’t recommend taking a big step back from stressful morning radio. A 53yo with that type of condition needs to be very, very careful. Someone with that amount of money who can afford to call it quits needs to consider their future carefully.

I know a few people in that demographic who consider an early retirement when they are confronted with such health issues. And they don’t have the same sort of comfortable lifestyle he has.

Oh wow, i wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Wonder what KIIS will do to fill the gap for the 8 weeks or however long he is off for?

Yep, no succession plan and put all their eggs in one basket.

tbf they probably didn’t think they needed one only 1 month into a 10-year contract

That’s the way they were thinking but given Kyle’s long record of health problems, they should have known better.

Can’t afford one!

Did 2Day have a succession plan?

It’ll be anyone’s game if Kyle doesn’t return. Nova Syd and Melb will be the real winners (along with The Fox). I somewhat doubt we’ll see 2DayFM succeed post-Kyle (or during Kyle’s absence).

Mind you, this’d be a perfect opportunity for other stations to lift their game as listeners may be trialing other stations during this time.

Well, no. And how did that go for them?

Succession plans are all well and good - but they don’t always translate to success or smooth sailing. A lot of it is just down to the right place/right time.

Or Beau Ryan… :upside_down_face:

Beaus on Triple MMM SYDNEY

Maybe Humphrey B Bear, Fat Cat and Big Dog?

Now that’s a real “Morning Zoo” (as they often used to call breakfast teams back in the 90s)

At least they know when to keep their mouths shut.
