My apologies, I did something I hate and don’t read the article fully, and so misinterpreted your comment.
However, while I definitely agree it was setup, I think that’s in poor taste as it t paints a picture that it’s ok to bully people into revealing if they’re expecting… though that probably applies equally to any lie detector segment. I find the whole thing to be in poor taste.

I find most things they do in poor taste. And it’s pretty hypocritical too as Robyn likes to grandstand about alleged bullying and the like. Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot? We’d never hear the end of it and there would be endless tears.

Just before 8:30pm this evening in Sydney, I heard Becky Hill’s new song “Never Be Alone” on KIIS.
It was only released last Friday and she also performed it during her two headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney last weekend.
Fun fact: it was produced by Sonny Fodera, who was born in Adelaide but is now based in the UK.

heres a thought starter - with KIIS networking K&JO to 1011 - and the inevitable move to brisbane and adelaide and perth, do we think ARN will need to synchronise their mega network? Lead with breakfast, network workday, Pickup there, Drive already there, Nights is halfway in SYD/Melb so is late nights… do we see them cutting nights into one show? I.e Mitch or Dom and zac - i just see massive potential for a dominate negtwork for ARN… sees they are getting their ducks in a row

Just like what happened to SCA, will happen to ARN when K&J move on.
The difference will be that at least 2DayFM had a heritage prior to K&J, whereas KIIS has never existed without the duo.
When they leave, it’ll be a free-for-all. Ultimately, KIIS could end up just like they did in the Mix era - and I’d expect Nova96.9 or WSFM breakfast to take the FM lead.
That’s unless 2Day hurry and put Mike E and Emma on brekkie.

Sounds like Kyle & Jackie O won’t be on air in Melbourne for another 6-7 weeks.
According to Kyle on The Morning Show this morning, they’re waiting for the move to the new studios to start broadcasting into Melbourne. Want to iron out the issues first as they don’t want to become the next TCN9.
Not sure if he’s taking the piss but that’s what was mentioned.

I was half asleep when my alarm went off at 7.30, but I could’ve sworn I heard Byron Cooke mentioning Kyle would be “live in Melbourne” today for a chat? (Not the actual show)
Perhaps I was dreaming!
RadioInfo is the only one who has picked up that they started - could they be wrong?

The K and JO show is moving into new building in about 4 weeks. Then iron out the kinks - don’t want any fiascos like at Ch 9 when 9 News Melbourne had to be shown in Sydney 
Maybe in 6-7 weeks. “We already know there are lots of listeners in Melbourne listening on the iHeart app>”

They still had plenty of fails in the leadup to the hack apparently. IIRC someone said that there were times when the 6pm news almost didn’t make it to air.

No one here has said they were listening all this morning, so I checked our (TX Australia’s) logger, Kyle & Jackie O definitely weren’t on in Melbourne this morning, it was normal programming, but Kyle was on for almost all of the 8 - 9am hour chatting with Byron, which was probably pre-recorded. I didn’t hear Jackie at all & it wasn’t what went to air in Sydney, they were just chatting about the program & that they were coming soon, I’m guessing Radio info had half a listen this morning & thought they’d arrived & were on air from today, but yes they got it wrong, kind of.
As for the new studios, I’m trying to get a tour before everyone moves in, as they’re almost finished, apparently they have a view to die for over the Sydney Harbour & city should rival the old Blues Point Rd 2SM studios view if anyone here remembers it, they had the best views in the country & one of the best in the world, though 2MMM Bondi Junction & later 2DAY Bondi Junction were pretty good views out the studio windows too.
I’ve been told the new ARN studios will be the place to be on New Years Eve for the fireworks.
