Not live but still free. Better than nothing.

So among the top five Euro competitions, BBC has broadcast rights to one and highlight rights to two.

Sky Sports’ equivalent of Goal Rush, but much better because you can watch all games at the same time.

The main attraction gets the dirty feed.

Wipe and brief 10-second showings of where each game can be seen on their own:

We’re all out for the half. (The right side is the default view.)

Single video feed:

Right picture second section shows why sports channels shouldn’t all be named after a single sport.

It probably shows Sky needs to run pop up channels or similar for match overspill.

I can understand their thinking in scheduling this.

It appears their formula is just “Is this channel free from 2-4.30pm? If yes, used.”

So going down their Sky channel lineup:

401 - Main Event - Usable as a breakout stream (instead of simulcasting another channel), home to the slot’s top game
402 - PL - Second biggest game
403 - Football - SPFL coverage ended 2.30pm so unusable
404 - Plus - Multiview as seen here
405 - Cricket - Free all day, so can house the last game

If there’s a cricket game on, it would have kept going to:
406 - Golf
407 - F1
408 - Tennis
416 - Mix

A full midweek round will be played for the first time this season tomorrow and the day after (fear not, another one will be done this weekend!). And the schedule is only going to amplify that.

I just think it is resource allocation efficiency. Each to their own. All I also know is that tuning to SS+ at 8.30pm local on Wednesday will be a delight.

Refer to the lineup above for the importance of each game.

English footballer presenter Laura Woods says she is “OK” after collapsing while leading television coverage of England’s friendly against Ghana in Southampton.

Woods was caught by pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante in the opening minutes of the programme, at which point ITV cut to an advert.

When the coverage returned, colleague Katie Shanahan had taken over as presenter and confirmed Woods had been “taken ill”.

England defeated Ghana 2-0 in the match.

And it continues this test.

Our friends over the ditch finally have a 4k UHD sports channel via Sky Sports NZ - very much similar to Fox Sports UHD with only select events will be shown on the 4k channel - and the Ashes is one of the first - its just a straight feed from Fox Sports UHD.

Hopefully that means the NZ Warriors home games will be shown in 4k next year.

Some will be I’ve heard but not all.

Assume that’ll be due to clashes with rugby union?

I believe so - from what I’ve heard anyway. That may change

I might be wrong, but I didnt think all games were in 4K in Australia either

Almost every game - occasional one off venue like Darwin weren’t 4k.

Won’t both be able to be shown since Sky’s plan for simultaneous 4K events is to carry the second event on a pop-up 4K channel?

I’d heard it was more a trucks issue but I might be wrong.

Slightly updated graphics from Sky Sports for the 2026 World Darts Championship, mainly fonts and sizing but a new graphic added for a set win. The score graphic is now slightly smaller, and has received rounded edges with the sets/legs/score columns more condensed.

In accordance with its August refresh.

Good to see Sky Sports Sans being propped up more often. I mean, they still haven’t got around to the news channel yet.

Reminiscent of Fox’s new AFL/cricket score graphics (even though they no longer share the same owners)
