Facing a grilling on ITV tonight, the former prime minister claimed the move had “inadvertently validated the entire corpus” as accusations were also levelled at officials who were “working very hard”.
He went on to defend the revellers, insisting that he does not think officials involved in the Westminster scandal “thought they were setting out to break the rules”.

People want diversity and it is happening, now they can hopefully shut up about it and focus on issues of substance like general cost of living.
Have a guess if the Tories will actually do anything that remotely resembles cost of living focus other than sniping from opposition.

Australia was one of 155 countries which backed the draft proposal in a United Nations committee, while the United States and Israel voted no.
The resolution calls on the UN to recognise the “permanent sovereignty” of Palestinians to natural resources in the occupied territories.
The proposal will now go to the UN General Assembly for a final vote.
Finally. If that had happened earlier maybe they wouldn’t have lost a large chunk of their voter base or Fatima Payman.
And I don’t expect that to change under Trump considering he’s appointed Mike Huckabee of all people to Israel.

Agree, now if they could turn their attention to the economy, they might be able to salvage some sort of victory at the election (or at least return as a minority government).
Another own goal that everyone saw coming. Albo successfully losing the debate on both sides.
I suspect this will be far too little too late for the Muslim vote in western Sydney and outer north Melbourne. It looks less like an ethics based decision and more that labor has been spooked by the US election results in Michigan.
On what planet do these great unwashed live on? All they do is complain about them doing tough and the economy is bad and then they demand the government do something that’s going to unnecessarily cost them money when they could least afford it: an election.
Seriously Starmer needs to just ignore them and implement what he has to do, though perhaps without the negativity that he’s been sprouting on about economically.

I agree - ignore the sideshow’s - just get on with the job - that’s why people put you in power - to get the job done.
And as for Elon Musk’s comment’s, he has enough wealth that he probably looks at a couple million dollars like how we look at a 5 cent coin
