Biggest question is when will Robert’s star eclipse this show.
I hope 10 realise Big Brother isn’t the saving grace they think it is.
IAC held up against summer sport on 7 & 9
Seven picks it up and Dr Chris Brown is fuming lol
I see IAC moving to Nine for a Q4 show
If I’m a Celebrity goes to Seven or Nine, they will face the same issues as 10, that is what to do with cast and crew on Fridays and Saturdays when the show does not air.
Would 10 replace with Celeb BB?
Do a normie BB end of year (like last year, but maybe a bit longer) keep the house up over Christmas (if at Dreamworld, they can open it as an attraction) and then launch into CelebBB during that summer IAC slot.
Weren’t they floating the idea of an All-Star IAC season?
Surprised they haven’t yet and have backflipped
Ouch for 10. It actually rates well for them.
Seven hasn’t had a good rate with Celebrity Shows of late (outside of DWTS). Celebrity Splash? SAS? Another im getting a blank on.
Could potentially go to Nine in late Q4, depending when The Block is on.
This would be a real shame. Although if they planned to continue cutting costs, I would prefer they end it.
This year’s season just didn’t feel the same as it used to be. It was obvious with the pre-recorded format that this is a very expensive show to film overseas and this was their way to justify it. I am guessing keeping Rob on was only going to cost more too (or potentially he was ready to move on anyway).
In hindsight, the earlier rumours of an All Star sseason actually could have been a nice way to finish the series on.
They could have tried filming it in Australia to cut costs.
Imagine celeb bb would be much cheaper
No thanks.
Big question now is what’s next for Rob Irwin.
I imagine 9 and 7 would both love to have him.
Do they try and poach ■■■■■■■■ and have him continue to host it on their network?
Or do they get him to host other big franchises and events?
Agree would rather it end than fizzle out in a watered down format
they did that during Covid? So they probably considered it. Ultimately it might have still been cost prohibitive.
It’s a costly production, not sure why the others would pick it up.
I think it needs to be given a rest for a bit then come back on the 2030s
It also means they might be putting more money into Big Brother this/next year with extra season (celeb, its basically the same thing) or extended series.
TV Week is using the following quote to deny an “official cancellation”
“Decisions regarding the 2027 program schedule including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be made in the coming weeks,”
If the show returns but remains pre-recorded they need to address the eliminations and how that is done. Look to the recent UK Celebrity version that was also a pre-record had much better ways to choose who went home. They also did a live final back in the UK studio that allowed the public to vote for the winner. Surely that wouldn’t be too hard to do and it would get the public involved.
