It was nice to see Geraldine and Max enjoy the snacks and drinks in the treehouse seeing as they only just got out, these were a novelty, as opposed to previous celebrities who had already been fed properly and hence didn’t seem to touch their food. Just a small observation.

Looking ahead to next year: trying to think of some celebrities who Channel 10 should be putting on their Wishlist. Their focus now doesn’t seem to be on fame but more on who are going to be likeable personalities that will make great television. Here are some thoughts:

Nagi Mahesaki
Janine Allis
Mel Tracina
Osher Günsberg
Virginia Gay
Matt Preston
Trent Cotchin

It’s a shame they opted to pick a highlight for each departing celebrity, as opposed to running a highlights package. It is more emotional to watch and shows their journey better. Surely they would have had enough material

Our Final Three Revealed!

Max Balegde And Geraldine Hickey Depart I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

In a record-breaking close vote, five has now become three as Geraldine Hickey and Max Balegde farewell the camp they’ve called home for weeks, leaving Reggie Bird, Sam Thaiday and Matty J to battle it out in Sunday’s grand finale.

While Geraldine had campmates and viewers in stitches with her wry takes on the world, during trials she pushed herself to her limits time and time again. During her first trial, Under the Dam, she faced her fear of spiders and saved a star from a box guarded by a terrifying tarantula.

After only winning one (sympathy) star during Basketfall, Geraldine was determined to make it up to her campmates and during two trials, Build a Bridge and Get Over It, and Grillin’ Me Softly, she – alongside Zach and Hughesy – brought home the (proverbial) bacon for camp.

In the jungle, Geraldine ran improv classes with the celebs, shared her dear friend Cal Wilson’s beads, and opened up about her life. Revealing her ADHD diagnosis, living a sober life, finding her place in the LGBTQIA+ community, and sharing how stand-up comedy gave her a second chance at coming out, Geraldine left no jungle stone unturned.

And who could forget the shocking moment in the tok tokkie when Geraldine looked up to see a venomous spitting cobra?

Geraldine’s time in the jungle was in support of Dementia Australia, which supports people living with dementia, along with their families and carers.

“They provide support, care and education to those affected by dementia,” Geraldine said. “My Dad had dementia and passed away in April 2023. Dementia Australia were a great place to access information and support when Dad was first diagnosed and throughout his illness.”

TikTok superstar Max has been an absolute scream while in camp – quite literally screaming at any old gecko or caterpillar that crawls his way. We were falling for Max from the very beginning when he almost passed out during the Over the Dam challenge, plunging into the experience feet-first.

Like many of our celebs, Max had to overcome his fears, including creepy crawlies, heights, and playing basketball on national TV.

Though his sporting prowess let him down during the Basketfall trial, Max was back with a vengeance when he, Matty J and Reggie Bird laughed, cried, and gagged their way to success in the Jungle Bed and Breakfast tucker trial.

Max battled electric shocks in the Jungle Breakdancing Championships, put the laws of buoyancy to the test in Whatever Floats Your Boat with Zach, and proved that slime does pay during the hilarious Human Sponge trial.

In camp (when he finally woke up), Max became a true-blue bogan learning all the Aussie slang his campmates could fling his way, bonding with his fellow celebs quicker than he could say “yeah nah”.

Max’s time in camp was in support of Minus18, “An LGBTQIA+ charity that focuses on education, training and resources to bring awareness and visibility to the LGBT youth,” he said. “It’s special to me in particular because if I had these sorts of resources growing up then being open about my sexuality would have been much easier.”

With just a few days to go until we crown our next King or Queen of the Jungle, make sure to get voting for your faves and join us on Sunday night to see if Matty J, Sam Thaiday, or Reggie Bird will be wearing the jungle crown.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Grand Finale.
Sunday At 7pm On 10 And 10 Play.

Would’ve been my top 3; and all were revealed prior to going into the jungle.

TV Tonight can confirm while the finale will be pre-recorded with multiple endings, voting will stay live into Sunday’s finale. One of 3 alternate endings will then reflect audience voting.

Cast and crew will be flying home on Saturday, saving Network 10 at least 2 days in costs associated with the show.

That corresponds to the season opener which was pre-recorded, except the final segment when the celebrities were already in camp.

Virginia Gay would be great if they could get her.

I’d like them to look at someone like Grace Tame. A true hero and someone who could address issues society is facing right now.

Hate it when they pre-record everyone as the winner because it’s just so fake and ruins the finale. Hopefully they’re all good actors…

Got all my votes in for Sam. I didn’t know anything about him except his name until this show but IMO he’s been good value. I do however think that yet again Reggie will win. Nothing against her and I’ve always liked her since her original (proper) Big Brother win. Her “victim” hard luck stories do get a bit tiresome though. I understand and realise her eyesight problems are bad but IMO she plays on her misfortune. I know how terrible blindness is as I have a close friend who’s blind but he just gets on with it, goes to theatre with his partner and goes overseas on a yearly trip etc. is mostly in good spirits and rarely if ever goes on about it. I compare Reggie to Chrissie Swan who finished second to Reggie and made a career on radio and tv for herself. Reggie just seems to have drifted along regaling us with her hard luck stories. So I say go Sam, hope you win!

So it looks like this entire finale episode has been pre-recorded, which I guess makes sense seeing it, but for some reason I had assumed it would still be mostly live and just the final segment where they announce the winner that was pre-recorded.

Seems so cheap and can’t understand why they would do this. If they really do need to save 2 days of costs then it would make more sense to pre-record the first week and skip that weekend, then go live from the first eliminations and stay live to the end from then.

Robert and Julia did an interview with the project (in raining conditions at the treehouse) so they at least are still in South Africa.

If they had to pre-record the final, then God forbid, they show the Final on a Thursday night. Rather than the usual Sunday night. Tonight show just doesn’t seem right.

Fully pre-recorded and still went overtime :joy:

I agree it felt different to when it was fully live

Such a cheap production this year.

I think it’s the wiser choice (even if it’s less eventful) - the show focuses on the interactive element for viewers to build a connection with the show (voting for challenges and for evictions - COVID seasons being the exception) by pre-recording the first week, the interactive element is not included in the first week.

By pre-recording the finale, you don’t lose much of the interactive element - yeah they have to pre-record the winner reveal with alternate endings, but at long as everyone puts on a good acting face, no one will realise.

Production must have realised that the confetti from one winner’s annoucement would still be visible for the second and third recording so they had Dave Hughes accidently set off the canon early in the show

Sam Thaiday Crowned King Of The Jungle 2025.

Meet Your Champion Of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

With the votes closer than ever, Sam Thaiday has been crowned winner of the 11th season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winning $100,000 for his chosen charity, Find Ya Feet.

In the final days in camp, our resilient final three, Sam, Reggie Bird, and Matty J, reflected on the highs and lows of living in the middle of the South African jungle, the countless meals of rice and beans, and the trials and challenges they each overcame.

To celebrate the massive achievement of making it to the finale, the trio were also surprised by their loved ones in camp, bringing the smiles and tears in equal measure. Sam’s wife Rachel and daughters Ellsie and Gracie met him at the waterfall, Reggie’s daughter Mia and sister Anita surprised her at the creek, and Matty’s wife Laura and daughters Lola and Marlie-Mae greeted him in camp.

While all our celebs were overjoyed to be reunited with their families, there was one last trial to get through, the Hot Tub Slime Machine. Relaxing in a hot tub full of rotten eggs, kale, elephant poo and – of course – their favourite rice and beans, the celebrities’ loved ones answered questions earning them stars for their final dinner in camp.

With their hearts full, our trio returned to camp to reflect on the bonds they had formed with one another, sharing their appreciation for one another.

Then, it was time to crown our winner, and while the vote was incredibly close it was Sam who was crowned our King of the Jungle for 2025. Sam’s time in the jungle was in support of Find Ya Feet, an organisation dedicated to empowering future generations.

“Tommy [Herschell] is an absolute legend of a man. I’ve been able to be a part of his workshops previously. His goal is to offer a platform for individuals to share their stories and equip them with the skills to be able to own their problems. He helps provide tools that enable them to shift that ‘get on with it’ culture well after the workshop pulls up.

“Their vision is to empower every individual with the tools and skills they need to engage in conversations that go well past ‘How are ya?’ I wish I had a mentor like Tommy to come and talk to me as a 13-year-old boy. His workshops give especially young boys a chance to share their emotions in a safe space without judgmental criticism,” Sam explained.

“In 2007 I lost one of my best mates to suicide. If he had a mentor like Tommy at such a young age it could have helped him develop the skills to share stories and lessen the burden he felt, maybe Joey would be here today.”
