I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Surprised at some who are in the bottom 5.

Just came here to say that too, would’ve thought Sigrid and Nicky would’ve been up there as some of the most popular. Whereas Zach and Max should’ve been a shoe in for bottom 5.

I prefer this year’s fast track elimination. Often used to FFWD through the post elimination chat. Perhaps it will be introduced later.

The camp get split in two tomorrow.

I was a bit surprised by the fast track elimination, which also includes a pre-recorded message from the celebrity’s relative or friend.

The full elimination chat in the treehouse will occur tomorrow.

The Honeymoon’s Over For Samantha.

MAFS Star Samantha Moitzi Farewells I’m A Celebrity
 Get Me Out Of Here!

Just as our merry band of celebrities were getting comfortable in their new jungle home, the moment they were all dreading finally came as we farewelled Samantha in our first elimination.

Launching into the jungle by taking a leap of faith off a dam wall, the reality TV star embraced camp life like it was a brand-new fiancé. And Samantha took trash TV to a new level during her trial alongside Nicky Buckley where the duo had to dumpster dive for stars, bringing home a whopping ten stars for their hungry campmates.

In camp we learned so much more about Samantha, including how a chance encounter at the shops led to her becoming a bride on MAFS, and her journey to learning her weight doesn’t equal her worth.

Samantha’s time in the jungle was in support of the Butterfly Foundation. “They provide support for eating disorders and body image issues because over 1.1 million Australians are living with an eating disorder. Less than a third of those receive treatment or support, me being one of them,” she said.

“Body dysmorphia is a real issue and talking about it doesn’t make you weak but brave,” Samantha said. “I want to share my experience so it can be a topic where people feel safe to discuss and be provided with support
 Butterfly Foundation does this.”

Feels like the right person to go first.

I didn’t mind the change in format but it felt wrong that they didn’t send off the eliminated celeb at the end with a “you’re a celebrity now get yourself out of here”

Wasted a good chunk of tonight’s episode trying to find the filming location. After the third ad ridden clickbait articles that gave no answer I found it here using an establishing shot from episode 2.

24.52750° S, 30.78692° E

I’m not ashamed of how I spent my time.

Caught the tail end of the episode last night and Samantha’s eviction segment with Julia & Robert just looked so awkward. Samantha looked shell-shocked and then the product placement phone was shoved in front of her with a weird voice over that sounded dubbed in.

I think the old format of going to an add break and letting the contestant compose their thoughts for a few minutes worked better.

See i’m the oppposite. I thought that was a good change to the format. Freshened it up a bit.

Tonight’s episode made fun of indemnity documents related to the Jungle Breakdancing Championships. A man pretending to be a Channel 10 lawyer asked Robert and Julia to sign those papers before and after the trial aired.

The trials including Jungle Breakdancing Championships would all be head to head trials - boys v girls. While Samantha picked Max and Reggie to take part in the breakdancing, the public would choose two other celebrities for future trials.

It’s in much more of a remote and secluded location than I expected, compared to the Australian set near the QLD/NSW border on Dungay Creek Road.

I liked the change to the end but agree with this fully

Kristy Beames, who was one of the most talked-about contestants on The Block in 2023, tells Yahoo Lifestyle she made it to the final stages of the audition process for season 11 before ultimately changing her mind.

“After our season of The Block, I’m A Celebrity actually reached out to Nine and wanted me the year that our season had just finished. But because I was still under contract with Nine, they were like, ‘No, she’s still under contract, she can’t do a Channel 10 show’, and they didn’t even tell me,” she details.

“Then I finished up my contract with Nine in November 2024 - finally - and I did the sit-down interview with I’m A Celebrity and it was such an honour. I did all three rounds, met the executive producers, went the whole way down to fly out dates and payments, everything like that.”

While she was initially excited to push herself out of her comfort zone, Kristy admits she began to change her mind when she saw snippets of last year’s season.

“I’d never watched the show, so I went on Skye Wheatley’s page and saw the s**t that she had posted and what she had to do and I was having hives just being like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t do this’,” she recalls.

Very desperate for attention. Please let me tell you why I didn’t do another reality show.

Haha she was so keen, got through three rounds of meetings, but only when she got to Skye’s Instagram did she really realise what the show was about

Spare me

More likely she was still under contract from 9 when they were selecting the contestants late last year.

Which is what the article says; but also goes on to say being asked what such an honour and did 3 meetings with producers, only to say she hadn’t actually seen the show and it wasn’t until she saw Skye’s posts on socials did she realise what was involved.

I’m not buying the whole story if that’s the case, as JBar said it sounds like she just wanted the attention.

Nice to finally see some spice with the camp divided but it feels a little too late, especially judging by the ratings.

I guess Shayna has never experienced food poverty or even empathises that so many Australians are currently in financial struggles and that even eating a meal can be a luxury. Was she really going to loose that much muscle in 24 hours? Of course not. Really ugly and tone deaf.

Enjoyed hearing the Logie stories and Sigrid laughing about herself getting called Gollum. Looked at the photos and sheesh Nicki wasn’t lying. That outfit was hideous and she was trying to cover her arse with some gold shawl.

I love Reggie but if she wants people to stop questioning her situation she needs to be more careful with what she puts out there. I saw a post in her facebook about where was she in 1997 and she said she was 21 despite being born in 1974. Simple mistake but if people don’t like her then this just adds fuel to their arsenal that she BS.

I don’t mind changing the format but that particular change was a little ham-fisted and cringe. Samantha coming back the following episode clean and having time to process her thoughts and talk on she show worked so much better.

Near the end of tonight’s episode, Robert told the celebrities that from tomorrow (February 6), one of them would leave the camp “every single night” until the grand final. That’s a bit misleading since the show is not shown on Friday and Saturday nights.

The good news though is that the split camp is over.
