Yes, I’ve paid attention to @Kevin’s post. Just because I might find someone else’s post very funny doesn’t mean I haven’t paid (or won’t pay) attention to a long and lengthy post.

Thought about this for a bit of time following Kevin’s post. This is going to be quite a long one, but here goes.
Firstly before I ever had any interest in this stuff, I was into Apple Tech. Something I’ve been enjoying, discussing iOS/iPadOS software mainly as well as new devices, and software device compatibility. Overtime, I became interested in the radio side of things.
In late 2022, I got into the FM DXing hobby when I stumbled across a distant FM station from Gippsland (Triple M) by pure accident, only because the music was being interrupted by another station, ABC NewsRadio from Ballarat. From then, I became excited about this that I wanted to firstly get more airchecks from Gippsland on enhanced tropo days/nights, then see if I could pick up anything else, and thus I did, stations from the GV, Bendigo and even weak Ballarat permanently. At the time I didn’t have a recordable radio on me (didn’t get one until mid-2023) so until then these were done on my phone.
When I joined the forums back in August 2024, I mainly had an interest in FM DXing and the Radio side of things, but also had some interest in big developments in television, though not much of it. Overtime, that also crossed through into regional television, especially with the whole SCA fascination thing earlier this year when they announced they were leaving the TV industry.
Now in my view, just because I have a fascination with this stuff doesn’t mean I can’t have my honest opinions. I have stuff I might want to say that my opinions/views but some members are just assuming I’m presenting speculation as fact. This, in return, is why I feel it’s not safe to discuss such opinions.
I want to try and make things right again. But I honestly feel that by doing that, I’ll probably just get more toxic replies. It’s taking a toll on me and I’ve decided there’s no way I can continue to participate in the forums without receiving negative and targeted replies.
I feel it’s just not safe to continue participating in topics on this forum anymore. With my posts going unnoticed and barely any interesting or positive replies, I’m calling it now: I’m done with discussing the media here on regular terms. Beginning April 2nd, 2026, I will no longer be active on the MediaSpy Forums on a regular basis, on my own terms. I will continue to be active regularly here on MS until then. As much as it pains me to have to make this announcement, I feel like it’s the right decision. I may still lurk around on here at times, but I will be absent from topics and regular participation. And hint hint, I may even go dark.
Copping too much unfair negativity and harsh criticism for my honest views is the reason behind my decision to step back on a regular basis. One I wish I didn’t have to make, but one that I won’t regret in the long-term. So to all those who have been attacking me in the forums recently: Congratulations, you win. But maybe sometime down the track I’ll probs end up in the Missing Members thread… or not. Will I be missed amongst many members? IDK, I’ve only been here for a year on the forums lol.
I will, however, continue on with being active on my Odysee channels, and will continue using the resources I have to continue providing content, whether that be through TV or Radio, as well as my Internet Archive channels. Whether you decide to link these in certain on-topic threads is totally up to you, I don’t care.
It was a good ride, and one I really enjoyed, though it was a harsh one for me at times. This is not goodbye forever, but simply put, see ya later, for now. I may come back online for special event discussions like Big Brother publicly on the forums as I am a BBAU fanatic (the BB Eye will probs be coming back on my profile pic next year lol).

Because in many cases you’ve been presenting it as facts, not opinions.
There’s an easy way to get around this - and that’s to flag speculation in your posts rather than implying you believe it to be factual.
Kevin - and others - offered some honest, constructive criticism. If you choose not to take that on board and change, it’s on you. You’ve also been moderator queued for some time, many take this ‘punishment’ as a sign they need to change their posting habits on the forums. You’ve doubled down.
Refer to my previous point - people are refusing to engage because you’ve developed a reputation here. You are capable of changing it.
Also, April 2nd, 2026? Presumably you’ll reveal this is an April Fool’s stunt the day prior.
No-one wins.
But this self-absorbed announcement to the message board where you don’t admit any responsibility is not the way to go about it.
After @Kevin posted the other day a well-reasoned and even-handed message to you, that you’ve essentially ignored - I’m not sure if there’s anything that anyone can do to get through to you.

Originally March 31st, 2026, but quickly changed it to April 2nd, 2026 so I can participate in next year’s MediaSpy April Fool’s. If I had picked April 1st, 2026, you’d all see the date as an absolute gotcha. April 2nd is the day after April Fool’s so it won’t be a stunt.
Talk about missing the point… Nobody is attacking you for your views or opinions. It’s been explained to you time and time again why people are frustrated with your posts and you’ve seemingly ignored all of it? Good luck, mate.

No one said you can’t. We’re all here posting our opinions on things. That’s the whole point of a forum.
The point you are repeatedly missing is that many of your posts aren’t just opinions. You insist on posting things as if they are fact without any proof of it actually being fact, and then when you are proven wrong you take that as you are being attacked.
It is very easy to say “I think X is going to happen” or “I would love it if X happened” instead of “X is happening” as if it were a done deal. You have a huge problem doing that and for whatever reason you aren’t acknowledging it.
Not safe? I have been watching your posts for a while, because there are a lot of them, and you don’t realise how patient people have been with you. I’ve seen what happens when someone who posts here manages to annoy almost everyone. I was surprised when no one was saying anything to you about what you have been doing. You have been very lucky.
Honestly it was getting to the point where I wanted to block you because I couldn’t stand it anymore. Once upon a time I would have done that and moved on, but I was trying to give you a chance. When I saw some of the comments posted over the past week though I decided enough was enough and made my post.
I had hoped you would take what I said as constructive feedback and try to work on yourself. Instead you chose to take it as an attack. If you knew anything about me you would know I could have just as easily told you where to go, but I was trying to help you and give you a chance to sort it out because I could see others were just as frustrated as I was.
This should tell you everything you need to know. If you can’t see why any of this is a problem then it’s best if you do go.
Multiple people have tried to help you and you have chosen to ignore all of us. I’m not sure what else we can do. We can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.

That is exactly the opposite of what this was all about. I made a strong effort to keep it constructive with the hope that it would help change things for the better.
Others have also shown a lot of restraint in what they would clearly like to say but have chosen not to. The fact that there is a lot of agreement however shows that this has been an issue for some time.
When someone doesn’t want to acknowledge there is a problem, and has also ignored repeated polite requests from many people to change things, what are we supposed to do?
