IIRC the regionals do this and the metros take a happy hour of the best bits of their respective breakfast shows

Ah gotcha, I remember Hughesy, Ed & Erin airing at 6 here on Mix in Perth and just assumed they carried that tradition of Sydney breakfast highlights

AFAIK that’s what they do as I’ve heard Stav, Abby and Matt here in Brisbane on in that hour and if I flick to the Gold Coast’s Sea90.9 I get [CENSORED] & Nath with Emma

Fifi, Fev & Nick to go national at 6pm rather than metro happy hour shows.

In Melbourne, Fifi, Fev & Nick return to The Fox after another year of share growth, with SCA highlighting locally driven moments that also scale nationally, including Brekky in the Burbs and The Underdogs. The trio will again extend their reach via The Happy Hour nationally in the evenings.

I was waiting for the Melbourne influence to go national. With all the higher-ups based at The Fox, it was only a matter of time.

As is SAFM.

Today is Brendan Fevola’s 45th birthday. On this morning’s show on Fox, a number of birthday messages was played on air, including those from Fev’s family and actress Miriam Margoyles. Fifi Box also revealed the team gave Fev some marathon gear and a registration for this October’s Melbourne Marathon as a birthday present.

Today is Million Dollar Day, the culmination of the Hit Network’s Million Dollar Summer promotion.

I’m stating here and now, very confidently, before Carrie and Tommy come on air, that no-one is going to win the million dollars.

what do you mean? Stacey from Casula is! :stuck_out_tongue:

You mean Stacey from [insert market here]!

Hannah from Christies Beach SA chose envelope #63, then had to choose whether to open it or accept a guaranteed $50,000.
Hannah wisely chose to take the $50k.
Envelope #63 then went to stand-by contestant Lauren.
That envelope was one of the 99 non-winning envelopes.
But no-one goes away empty handed - Lauren received $10,000 from competition sponsor Liberty Financial.
The million was in envelope #22.

and i bet if they’d picked #22 it would not have had the million in it :stuck_out_tongue:

That would be what is known in the industry as “illegal”

They were taking it very seriously! The 1 winning envelope had a photo of Carrie in it; the 99 non-winning envelopes each had a photo of Tommy in them. All envelopes were tamper-proof and had to be opened with scissors.

From memory they get a lawyer or some big 4 consultant in to oversee the whole thing.

It’s all insured, so it all has to be above board. If - by some extraordinary stroke of luck - the winning envelope is picked, the insurer pays out the prize. Lower risk to the promoter.
