According to a 2DayFM Breakfast Facebook post it says they play, “more music when you get up”.

Can anyone confirm what this means? Are they playing back to back songs with less talk?

Could be their “over Summer” breakfast programming while the regular presenters are on holidays.

The official radio ratings for 2018 finish this week, but Fifi, Fev and Byron have already gone into “best-of” mode.

This week is the last surveyed week, results are out on the 18th.

Yes, Free online radio stations – listen for free at OnlineRadioBox.com tells us they are playing 8 songs an hour, branding is 2Day FM Plays More Music When you Wake up with Grant Denyer and Ed Kavalee (instagram).

No this is the last week, and how? FFB have been and will be live all week.

Pretty sure they are still live in the studio (until Friday).

Fev is working 6-8am and Fifi was away sick today.

I tuned into the show today just after 8am and it was playing a segment from a few months ago.

Prob cause they were live 6-8am not til 9. Dave Hughes was filling in from his home as well.

Hasn’t been mentioned yet - but Hit105 did one of their “listener selected” music features yesterday morning. They played nothing but Christmas songs during Breakfast. They had to reach a goal of 3,000 likes on a Facebook post to do it.

Some of the playlist included:

Ariana Grande - Santa Tell Me
Destiny’s Child - 8 Days Of Christmas
Justin Bieber - Mistletoe
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
Michael Buble - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Pentatonix Ft. Tori Kelly - Winter Wonderland / Don’t Worry Be Happy
Sam Smith - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
The Vamps - Jingle Bell Rock
Wham! - Last Christmas

Why is Brisbane not running an end of year appeal for the children’s hospital? This was a fixture in Nov/Dec with 105.3 bfast remaining on longer than other metros to finish the appeal.

2014 appears to have been their last one after 20 years. The 9 Telethon took over the appeal in October 2015 and is statewide. The glory days of the appeal are over! I recall Channel 7 doing telethons in the early to mid 80’s with phone rooms set up in QLD regional TV stations along with live crosses to them.

Kate Langbroek told the Herald Sun yesterday she would broadcast Hughesy and Kate from Italy next year. She is planning to move her family to Bologna for a year from March. She said she was going to stop working while in Italy, but Hughesy convinced her to stay on the show.

Is the show pre-recorded, or live on air in Sydney and Melbourne?

Big commitment for Ash London to do brekky radio and then a reduced night program as well.

Though it’s probably not much different from Bec doing brekky in Adelaide and then evening news on 10 News First or Carrie with afternoons and then The Project etc.

Will Ash London Live actually be live?

I give Ash 12 months on either show. She’s a talented operator, but that workload is going to hurt
