He would be on stage those nights. More likely he watches recordings, afternoon repeats or Tenplay.
Looking at last week’s ratings for the show:
Monday: HAVE YOU BEEN PAYING ATTENTION? 721,000
Friday: HAVE YOU BEEN PAYING ATTENTION? ENCORE 343,000
That’s 1,064,000 before and consolidated are added. A pretty good return over two nights.
The cast of Aladdin, solely responsible for Tenplay’s record VPM figures
Does it get repeated on ONE or Eleven as well?
Not on One but it’s on Eleven. HYBPA Sat 8.30pm-ish. I thought it was on another night too but doesn’t appear to be this week.
Australian Survivor winner Jericho will be on two shows tonight: All Star Family Feud, and HYBPA (as guest quizmaster).
This has to be one of my favorite shows but I feel it can get a bit repetive with the same guests. Last week was fantastic with Michael James Scott and provided a fresh face. I think they need to try and get some new people on more often.
Perhaps they should invite Aussie actors and actresses to play. Don’t they want to have some fun?
Some weeks are better than others.
Next week’ll be a good one - Sam, Ed, Celia, Marty, Urzila.
They have to be quick witted and funny which is why they usually have comedians on. Actors usually need a script to be funny apart from a few exceptions.
Has Brooke Satchwell been on? She was good on Dirty Laundry Live, so put her on a show with Marty or Lawrence (although I don’t think the latter is on now he is with Seven again).
Michaela Banas was good on this show.
It’s time for a dumb comment…
Has anyone ever noticed that the timer clock in the rapid recall is not consistent?
EVERY single episode that has ever aired the timer runs out when Tom or Jane have just started a new question. It has never stopped part way through an answer or part way through a joke or in a correction, but always as the host has started a new question. The ‘clock’ is manipulated to end at that spot.
Moving on…
I’ve seen the movie Quiz Show that’s based on the rigged television quizzes of the 1950s. I’d hate to see a similar movie in a few years time about how HYBPA was supposedly rigged.
not far off the mark, I remember in the first few seasons, the clock would end straight after the answer of a question.
next week (if I remember lol), I’ll use my timer to see if it is 2 minutes or whatever it’s meant to be.
According to my stopwatch, it was one second short of 3 minutes but it was a bit hard to hear when it actually started so close enough.
I watched it tonight and remembered this conversation so I timed it.
American motocross rider Justin Brayton is this week’s first guest quizmaster. He is the current Australian Supercross SX1 champion.
Recently crowned Young Chef of the Year and former MasterChef contestant Kylie Millar is this week’s second guest quizmaster.
Jane Kennedy hosting next Monday.
