Can’t remember when I last heard Mr Natural on the radio. I do know that I was a ONE FM staple. Hearing that song and I’m taken back to Year 9 with 14 year old me on a camp at Lidsdale near Lithgow.
You’re So Strong is another favourite of mine.
I was living on the Gold Coast at the time and I still recall hearing it on 99.5 Sun FM (before it became Rebel and got shifted ever so slightly to 99.4).
Can’t recall what station I heard ‘Mr Natural’ on first or most often but it was definitely played regularly in the mid 90s. Probably i98 as I was still a devotee back then.
I reckon it would have been a ROX FM special as well…1995 was the only year I didn’t go up there thanks to some home renovations which ate up our budget!
I remember hearing quite a few songs on ROX FM from 1995 to 1999, but oddly that wasn’t one of them!
I remember them playing ‘Greedy People’ by Electric Hippies in ‘94 and then ‘Waking Up Tired’ by Hoodoo Gurus in ‘96…would have thought it only Natural!
