I think this one deserves its own post! Love it!
Dream on, white boy
Dream on, black girl
And wake up to a brand new day
To find your dreams have washed away
Iâve always loved this song!
June Christy - âSomething Coolâ on 3PBS 106.7 FM
Another song Iâve always likeddddd.

While those bangers aired, there was also some tad disappointments such as âSkater Boiâ by Avril Lavigne, Iâm not going to say itâs not a rock song as it is a pop-rock song with pop-punk elements, itâs just the rest of her catalogue later on isnât as influenced by rock as a whole, feels off hearing this on both Rebel FM and the Hit Network stations. I also heard âPhotographâ by Nickelback, donât get me wrong, the first five Nickelback albums are great, well specifically the deeper cuts, Iâm not as into the hits especially when theyâre played by every radio station ever. But hey, itâs not a big deal and I hope Iâm not making sound like it is hahah.
bay93.9 this afternoon: Tonight She Comes by The Cars.
I donât mind the earlier stuff from Nickelback, but that song would have to be one of the worst songs ever.
I agree with you, first four to five albums is just solid hard rocking post-grunge, but as they went more country, they became more repetitive, not a single song since Photograph have I liked from them.
A certified Conga Line turd, already played and will never be heard on my show again.
âPlease Stayâ by Kylie Minogue on Woolworths Instore Radio.
One of her forgotten but good songs
She has a lot of great songs that rarely get played⌠âSome Kind Of Blissâ, â, Did It Againâ even âSlowâ⌠and her duet with Nick Cave âWhere The Wild Roses Growâ, which is the only time Iâve heard Triple M Sydney play her.
Agreed, Iâd put this on the âOh Noâ thread alongside âHow You Remind Meâ in my honest opinion.
During my shopping at my local Coles in Kurri Kurri today, I heard âThank God Itâs Christmasâ by Queen one of the best single only releases from one of my favourite bands and a banger of a Christmas song released in 1984!
Thats True, that whole Early 2000âs Kylie is a much more laid back style for her and I prefer it.
My parents love Nickelback and say that theyâre heavy as fuck which is concerning because theyâre not metal, one thing that bugs me is that they say they are genuinely talented and write better songs than King Crimson, Rush, and Opeth, they think that any music they donât know is shit and every band I just mentioned they think is shit and weird (I personally love those bands). I mean no disrespect, theyâre my parents and I love them, and music taste is subjective and in one way or another everyoneâs different, but to call them metal and more talented then Rush? Iâm not sure about that.
Iâm not too into her 80sâ stuff. But from her self-titled album in 1994 onwards, I got obsessed with her music, every album from that up to and âBody Languageâ (2003) is to me amazing Australian pop music, she is more versatile then people like to admit, Iâll always be proud to be a fan of her music, even if I think that her 80sâ and early 90sâ albums are mehhhh.
Chad Kroeger does have a great voice though. His stuff with Santana eg âWhy Donât You And I?â and âInto The Nightâ is better than with Nickelback.
Also donât forget he collaborated with Josey Scott for âHeroâ from the Spiderman soundtrack in 2002 (I think it was?).
Absolute banger of a song. Still gets big airplay on UK radio at this time of year.
