One Headlight - The Wallflowers on 4HI. I can’t remember when the last time I heard this gem on Commercial radio.
I hear it occasionally… I heard it on Star 92.1 Wangaratta this morning.
Also heard them play “Time Warp” too, definitely a Halloween thing.
A couple of good ones on the Awesome 80s Friday on Triple M Albury this mornjnh
Somebody’s Watching Me - Rockwell
The Walls Came Down - The Call
Drove from Mt Hotham to Lakes Entrance today
Heard these
Mississippi - Pussycat
(on 97.3 3HCR Omeo)
Catch My Disease - Ben Lee
Lighthouse - The Waifs
(both on 105.5 3REG Bairnsdale)
Hey Tonight - Creedence Clearwater Revival
(on 103.9 Life FM Gippsland)
Jet Airliner - Steve Miller Band
(on Gold 98.3 Bairnsdale)
The anthem of Halloween 2025. Heard a lot on Triple & Double J https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnP7qKxwzjg
a song synonymous with the 93.9 Bay FM/3XY simulcast period of 1990.
Carry On - Motor Ace on Triple M 2000s a short time ago. Haven’t heard this one in a while so it was a nice surprise.
Such a good song, and one that was everywhere at the time yet is almost lost now.
Love that song👌
I might be in the minority, but I preferred “Keeping Secrets”, doesn’t get played much either.
Motor Ace is one of my favourite Aussie bands of that time, way better then Jet and Airbourne. Up there equally with Wolfmother!
Back home now
A few from last night and today
Big Time - Peter Gabriel
(on 2ST Nowra)
Creeping Up Slowly - Taxiride
(on Hope 103.2 Sydney)
Reminiscing - Madison Avenue
(their cover of the Little River Band hit)
On 2SSR Sutherland. Haven’t heard that song or even that band on the radio for a long time.
Reasons - John Farnham
(On Gold 101.7 Sydney)
I am shocked that Pure Mold played that instead of ‘Age Of Reason’!
“Age Of Reason” doesn’t get played much either.
“Two Strong Hearts”, “That’s Freedom” and “You’re The Voice” are the perennial offenders on Gold.
I did hear “Age Of Reason” on Triple M regionals this morning too on their Awesome i80s Friday though.
Still enjoying Heart Hits after a few days - can’t recall a song being repeated while listening. Lots of rare hits and some that have been forgotten by commercial radio.
Even enjoyed Stars on 45 this afternoon.
Losing You / Sharon O’Neill on Breeze right now. She is a criminally underplayed artist on Australian radio. I can’t recall hearing her on any other station apart from Breeze in a very long time.
I’ll have to give Heart Hits a longer listen. I seem to just flick through it and haven’t really heard any rare hits at all.
Great track.
The entire “Foreign Affairs” album is excellent.
I totally agree ![]()
I heard The Breeze played Maxine the other day. Another great song from Sharon O’Neill.
It’s a Sin - Pet Shop Boys heard while DXing on Crow FM.
