Would you happen to know who chooses the music for Hot Tomato? Iâve wondered who does that side of things as the same music is now on Wave FM in Wollongong and 7HO in Hobart, there may be other stations that I havenât metnioned with the same music log.
If it happened they might move Marnie and Campo to drive or another shift like they did with Amanda and Jonesy in Sydney. Not saying it will happen, but it could. If ARN are prepared to network breakfast into Sydney then they wouldnât hesitate to do it in Ipswich if they thought it made sense.
And up until very recently they were going to have KIIS 97.3 with absolutely no local content if they had rolled out K&J.
To be fair, thatâs just an assumption. Craig Lowe was announced at the networkâs upfronts. Aside from idle gossip, thereâs no reason to believe that K&J were confirmed to be on 97.3.

gold.com.au appears to be unused now/for sale.
Wonder if ARN will use it instead of the current Gold website which allows you to choose your local Gold Station
Mix 102.3 Adelaide running promos saying they are changing to Kiis. Unless Iâve missed it, nothing on Cruise 1323 yet but guessing theyâll start this week. The promos on 102.3 are actually quite creative with the voiceovers saying the station is âunder constructionâ and that they are just Adelaideâs 102.3 at the moment giving the station a period of no branding as a breather between name changes. Anyone know if they are still going ahead with Cruise going to Gold?
The website is actually registered to SEO Web Recovery. They are an organisation that goes around and registers numerous website names with the aim of selling them at a premium.
Unfortunately aftermarket domain sales are the main way you can get a decent domain these days. Sometimes itâs easier to just pay a few grand for a domain and move on with your life.
This domain may not be important for ARN, but if it is this is their only chance to get it. A four letter domain will never slip back onto the public market.
Just came back from overseas and the first thing I noticed on the car radio (with RDS) is that 96FM appeared as GOLD96FM. And on DAB+ the channel name sort pushed it away from 96fm 80s to GOLD96FM, then Heart and Heart Hits here on Perth DAB+ (back to back adult oldies/contemporary music channels). Not sure if the format has changed though, maybe a soft rock/pop version of Smooth DAB+?
EDIT: Just read posts that mentioned GOLD 80s for Perth DAB+. Well that hasnât happened (yet) as it is still running as 96FM 80s. They should make it happen so we get GOLD 80s next to GOLD96FM and the Heart and Heart Hits friends on DAB+ (which I guess would be the same in other metro areas with âHeartâ and âGoldâ stations)
