NRL Grand Final was last Sunday night.
They had the Oprah Special last night - clearly 10 believes that it will get better ratings on a Sunday night - especially at the earlier time.

Interesting that Goggleboxers watched the NRL GF live (or seemed to) this week. I supposed it was easier to manage because it was at night. It was in contrast to the AFL that was only seen through highlights on The Sunday Project.

Would also be less obvious when they watched the AFL Grand Final in the past - IIRC they watched it on replay because it looked like it was at night in the homes.
Tim and Leanne were absent from this weekâs season finale.
UPDATE 20/10: Tim posted a video on Instagram yesterday (Saturday), saying that Leanne suffered a âtraumatic incidentâ and is recovering in hospital. Tim said his sister would post her story once she was well enough.

Gogglebox cast member Jad Nehmetallah met King Charles in Parramatta yesterday when the Royals attended a local BBQ.
Nehmetallah, owner of MISC. Parramatta, was one of the local venues to supply catering.

The Silbery family are not returning in 2025 following Foxtelâs decision to not renew the program, yet itâll still air on Ten in a new form.

Wait when was this announced?
The gogglebox offical socials says âback in 2025â. Maybe that was before the fox announcement
10 are still airing in (in some form) apparently, so I guess they will be picking up the full bill for the show.
I canât find anywhere else that mentions Foxtel dropping Gogglebox, so I guess itâs a recent decision then.
Iâve checked the Foxtel 2025 and Foxtel Upfront 2025 threads, and there was no mention of Gogglebox in the press releases from the companyâs upfront event. I should have realised something was amiss.

Same - I didnât even noticed it was missing - I just assumed since 10 renewed it foxtel wouldâve already given the green light, and that it was buried amongst all the other shows.
The rights fee for the Gogglebox format (from Studio Lambert and distributor All3Media) wonât be cheap.
This could be a blessing in disguise. The cast has needed a shake up for a while⌠and now 10 can schedule it however they please. Maybe it will premiere on P+ first in a similar way to how it does now on Binge.

Could have shorter seasons, possibly lose a family or two.
But then again, Paramount could see value in having a show like Gogglebox.
I bet they are discussing which of the 2 best mates team to cut too.
Wow, did not see this one coming. Wonder what other changes may be in store for the show next year?
Also explains perhaps why in 10âs âFast Start 2025â advertiser call to action has Gogglebox front and centre alongside Celebrity and Survivor maybe.
