Reports of explosions in Brussels at the airport. Multiple casualties and injuries
Nine will be airing a Special Bulletin at 8.40pm (or whenever Reno Rumble finishes) tonight.
Personally, I think they shouldâve went into rolling coverage mode after ACA. Probably going to be one of 2016âs bigger stories and besides, looking at last nightâs ratings of Reno Rumble Nine may as well go into rolling coverage mode!
Shouldâve dumped Reno Rumble for rolling coverage. One of the bigger stories of the year
Sky News UK has some good rolling coverage of the situation. They had one of their reporters in the thick of it at the airport.
Anything happening on the other channels?
Seven only has a scrolling message during MKR telling viewers there was another explosion at a Brussels Metro station (Maelbeek) near the European Union headquarters.
ABC News 24 obviously has rolling coverage.
I think the two attacks are the terroristsâ revenge at the policeâs capture of Salah Abdeslam, the surviving suspect from last Novemberâs Paris attacks.
Live stream of BBC World News is available on the BBC News website for this coverage.
13 killed at airport, suicide bomber at the airport - BBC.
Reports of four explosions on the Brussels metro. I think this justifies a new thread.
New thread created. Canât figure out how to split posts as yet but discuss coverage in there.
Iâm very curious (and slightly suspicious) about this story - http://abc.net.au/news/2016-03-26/sunshine-coast-billionaire-granted-bail-drugs-property-offences/7277636
I think today was a very clear case of selective sympathy, one of the biggest terrorist attacks of the last year only made a 20 second clip, 28 mins into the bulletins.
It led ABC and SBS, was the second story on Nine, but was well down the line on Ten and Seven (in Melbourne at least)
ABC on-line has set up a Live Updating thread to cover the disappearance of another passenger jet.
Live: EgyptAir plane disappears between Paris and Cairo
The information posted so far seems to be sourced largely from Twitter.
ABC24 has very little coverage. Extensive coverage on other news networks with CNN even crossing to Australia:

I count seven different fonts on that screencap.
Anything on Ten?
Trump has just passed Clinton for the first time head-to-head in one of the big polls
