Those are much better than the awful Stingray and That’s (70s, 80s, 90/00s, rock) channels on Fetch.

I liked the Stingray audio channels, much better than the SCM Hit/Triple M ones there now.

You’d hear a lot of rarer tracks on that and being a FOXTEL customer, you could listen via the app as well in 128 kbps stereo.

Vevo is Good but it is available everywhere now. You can get it on YT.

Should LifeStyle You return to Foxtel? It has closed down in 2017.

I highly doubt Foxtel would consider launching or relaunching anything new that isn’t a FAST channel or a content shopfront streaming portal, because the ‘company’ that runs it only really wants it for its technologies to help improve their own existing sub-standard products.

DAZN simply does not genuinely care enough about Foxtel to warrant this, and their decision-making since the acquisition should be proof that they see the business as nothing more than a way to improve their poor finances.

Could see it’s content to Binge?

Yes, but Foxtel will need to also bring back Nick, Cartoon Network and Disney channel once all streaming services shutdown and revert to old school TV because Dreamworks channel (which is the only one) are not enough kids channels but I doubt if it happens. Not off topic reply.

Not off topic, but fucking baffling nonetheless.

if streamers do close, it’ll more than likely be a merger with another streamer, it’s not likely they’d be returning to Foxtel…

it’s more likely that Foxtel closes before any of the others do…

It’ll end up being on a Hubbl style system owned and operated by the streamers.
It won’t be a return to Foxtel. Foxtel is on it’s way out over the last decade.
Maybe Fetch

News and Telstra tried Discovery Kids, and for unknown and somewhat bizarre reasons, PBS Kids also failed. Before then, CMH, News, and Telstra tried KidsCo and CBeebies; of all of those, CBeebies was the only one not to be “killed off” due to low viewership.

DAZN will NEVER add a channel to the Foxtel lineup that isn’t IP-centric, FAST, or a content portal for streaming—unless it’s a sports channel. They view Foxtel purely as a technology-based play to support their core global asset and meet their own needs—nothing more.

If you genuinely believe that DAZN will actually do any of the things you are suggesting for Foxtel, then you are greatly mistaken, as they themselves barely make a profit.

And what makes you think that’s ever going to happen??

Didn’t you hear? We’re going back to 2004. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: As we speak, John Howard is on his way back to The Lodge

The streaming services aren’t gonna shut down anytime soon, but it’s interesting speculation regardless.

Fortescue Prioritises Wellbeing in Largest-Ever Deployment of FOXTEL Business iQ

EXPANDED PARTNERSHIP WILL DELIVER FOXTEL AT-HOME SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE TO FORTESCUE’S 10,000+ TEAM ACROSS 11 REMOTE MINING VILLAGES

Foxtel Group has announced an expanded partnership with Fortescue to deliver the FOXTEL at-home sport and entertainment experience to more than 10,000 employees across 11 remote mining accommodation villages. The partnership marks the biggest deployment of FOXTEL Business iQ ever undertaken.

In a move to boost worker wellbeing, the multi-year agreement will upgrade approximately 11,500 screens across Fortescue villages with Foxtel Business iQ, connecting them to some of the best local and international sport and entertainment content. The upgrade will provide Fortescue workers access to the full FOXTEL lineup of sport and entertainment channels alongside FOXTEL’s extensive on-demand content library in up to 4K Ultra HD even in Australia’s remotest locations through FOXTEL’s satellite network.

With LIVE and on-demand sport including the cricket, AFL, NRL, F1, golf and Supercars, as well as the world’s best shows like Colin From Accounts, Outlander, and The Other Bennet Sister, employees will have access to entertainment experiences that enhance comfort, connection, and everyday village life. The agreement further enhances the onsite experience with expanded access to Main Event programming in every accommodation room and common area, giving employees increased shared viewing opportunities for major live events such as UFC and Boxing, a key priority for Fortescue as it continues to invest in strong village communities and quality downtime experiences.

Steve O’Connor, Managing Director of Foxtel Retail, Wholesale, and Commercial at Foxtel Group said: “FOXTEL and Fortescue have been in partnership for almost a decade and we’ll continue to invest together from the outset of our long term renewal to upgrade all living quarters and common areas across all Fortescue camps with FOXTEL’s full suite of live and streamed content through Business iQ, and develop delivery to staff personal devices through the FOXTEL app while at worksites. Fortescue’s very remote workforce will be the most connected and best entertained mining employees in Australia.”

The rollout will be delivered at speed through an accelerated installation program with a commitment to continue evolving the offering over the long-term agreement, with Foxtel Group’s valued partners ADB and BSA supporting this momentum. ADB drives continuous innovation as FOXTEL Business iQ’s technology development partner through their vuTyme™ platform which is deployed across 400,000+ screens worldwide, while BSA provides trusted installation services nationwide, ensuring reliable delivery at scale.

The agreement follows a growing number of major commercial deals to roll out FOXTEL Business iQ at scale across remote mining accommodation to help workers feel at home, supporting wellbeing and engagement.

Today, more than 60,000 rooms in commercial properties nationwide access sport and entertainment content through the FOXTEL Business iQ, a platform purpose-built for multi-occupancy environments that brings the best of the FOXTEL at-home experience alongside an integrated communications system to entertain, engage, and inform guests, residents, staff and customers.

Foxtel’s larger-than-life chief executive, Patrick Delany, is set to be shipped off to London, expected to take on a global role at the company’s headquarters a year after it was acquired by British streamer DAZN.

Delany, Foxtel’s boss for the past eight years, has impressed his new bosses and will effectively become DAZN’s second in charge as its global head of operations, two people with knowledge of the appointment said.

While the elevation for Delany is a tick of approval for the job he has done at Foxtel, it leaves a sizable hole in its local operations with no clear successor waiting in the wings. Former sports rights boss Rebecca McCloy was seen as fitting that role, but she too jetted off to a new DAZN role in Madrid last year.

Just watched one of the Vevo channels on Foxtel and saw ads for the first time. No more “We’ll be right back.” messages. Don’t remember seeing ads on the MTV music video channels in the year before they disappeared so hopefully this means that these channels will stick around.

Also they appear fairly quickly now when you tune into the channel.
