Fox Footy

Thank heavens someone figured out that it’s probably not for the best.

Not sure about that considering they included clips of the Fox Sports era in their montage looking back on 1,500 episodes:

‘Tough bastard’: Jonathan Brown set for Fox Footy return weeks after major brain surgery

Jonathan Brown is returning to work after undergoing shock brain tumour surgery.

On Monday (June 1), the footy great will take his seat on On the Couch, his first day back at Fox Footy since revealing the diagnosis in March.

Brown has been recovering in Queensland after having the operation in Melbourne to remove a golf-ball-sized brain tumour.

Brown will start with On the Couch for the next few weeks before seeing how he feels about extending to the commentary box.

Dwayne Russell to call the Thursday night game with Mark Howard tomorrow via AFL 360.
Usually it’s Matt Hill, no reason listed for his absence, most likely committed to calling horse racing at Geelong that day. So turns out he’s calling the Belmont Gold Race @ Saratoga in New York. Howie mentioned it last week as the Hawks were heading into the rooms after the game.

Howie is going down the slide on Monday. I think last year, him & Dwayne did their own commentary of each slider instead of taking BT.

So maybe it will be just Huddo doing the slider commentary solo since he’s calling the game on Monday with Howie, so he’ll have to change out of the slide costume and get warmed up before calling the game.

There was a clock issue with Fox footy and they focused it on their broadcast at the end and made it seem like a big deal. But the 7 broadcast had the clock working fine and normal.

So definitely a Fox issue

Fox taking the slide delayed. Missed some of the pre slide interviews too. And not taking the post slide interviews

I think this was an event that didn’t need to be tinkered to have Fox own commentary etc

Should have kept it how they did before these new rights. Just take the entire 7 presentation

Brian Taylor has done the Slide a few years ago:thinking:

I noticed (having Kayo on in the background and listening to Triple M) that they took some live and some delayed

Fox Footy will show the annual Australian Football Hall of Fame gala, live from Melbourne’s Crown Palladium, tomorrow (June 9) from 7.30pm AEST.

It’s football’s favourite night as we reveal eight new inductees and one person to be elevated to Legend status in the Australian Football Hall of Fame.

The fact the clock magically came good at the same moment there was a change to the contents of the right-side portion of the graphics was a pretty good indication that it was a graphics fault and not an actual timekeeping issue. The focus on it was really bizarre.

Is Fox taking the Daniher funeral tomorrow? Assume so, probably simulcast on or from FSN.

Yes, Fox Footy’s coverage starts at 1pm.
Not sure what FSN is doing; no mention of Daniher’s service in the TV guide.
