Seems like Huddo and Jack Riewoldt are calling the Derby from Melbourne, despite both being in Adelaide last night with Kath Loughnan (who is at Optus).
Whateley on 360 has said Fox will have extended coverage of the Anzac Day match from 2:30pm, which means the HAW v GC will be on both 503 & 504 until 3QT, at which point the last quarter will be on 503 only.
Some TV guides have not been updated; Nine’s YourTV still saying the early games starts at 12:15 then go to the MCG @ 2:50pm, which I assume was the original plan.
Apologies for the double post but I thought there was a glass wall separating the Fox callers when they call Ch 7 games at the MCG?
Looks like the wall is gone but you can see that they are still separated by looking at thing Lyon is putting his hands on it’s like a half a wall

No pre game motorcade stuff on Fox. 504 is still showing the Hawks v Suns game. I wonder when they will swap to the MCG, maybe at 3qrt since there is only about 30 seconds left in Tassie
They switched after the ad break following Q3.
For some reason the coverage from the G is not in 4k…
There is a bug where it asks you if you want to watch the game in 4k when you’re on the 4k channel:
It directs you to UHD2 (which is now on the MCG game).
Seven would be the host broadcaster for this match, and they don’t produce their games in 4K.
Nah, it looks like they were just late to flick the switch. All matches are produced by NEP in 4k. All are shown on Fox in 4k.
It’s the NRL and the Nine games that are HD only.
Well TIL. I knew that only some of the NRL games were in 4K, and thought it might be the same for the AFL too.
All of the NRL games would be produced in 4k but for some reason (likely the broadcast deal) the games on Nine go through Nine after NEP and that’s what Fox gets.
Meanwhile the feed has shit itself. Fox showing SD with only comms.
Issue with Seven’s pictures.
At the ground overhearing some technicians, first failure was a power surge, not sure what’s up with the second one.
It would have been interesting if both broadcasters were in different rooms after the draw.
Punters weren’t happy when Hawthorn’s win against the Gold Coast Suns last weekend was interrupted when the broadcast unexpectedly switched to several minutes of ads, just as the final quarter kicked off. Not even after a goal, just ads during play. Bummer!
While the interruption doesn’t exactly square with the not “missing a thing” tagline, (Foxtel) said it was a matter of “human error” and there have been steps put in place to prevent it happening again.
Fox’s other-game scoreboard no longer has a “live now” tag.

Comedy capers
I know this has been a thing for about seven years now, but what are people’s thoughts on the Dwayne/Huddo double act in the commentary box?
As far as I can remember, Melbourne vs GWS in 2019 was one of the first matches they called together.
