Romance, rivalries and a shock exit rock the farms
Tonight on Farmer Wants A Wife on Seven and 7plus, the ladies got their first taste of country life, but before it even began, shocking news rocked one farm.
One of Farmer Jason’s top five ladies made a last-minute decision not to come to the farm, leaving him second-guessing himself: “Sometimes you think ‘are you good enough?’. I have always had a fear with women not being able to come to the farm or farm life’s not for them. All I can do is just get to know these other four ladies.”
Soon after, the ladies were tasked with planning blind dates for their farmers, but it wasn’t smooth sailing for everyone.
Miranda was left frustrated when Farmer Zac chose Jessica’s slip-and-slide idea. “It’s annoying that I don’t get that time with Zac. Jessica was literally considering going home yesterday and now she gets that time over any of us girls. I don’t want their date to be amazing. I’d probably rather it go bad,” she said.
Adding to Miranda’s woes, Zac injured himself on the slide and ended up spending a full day in hospital, with Jessica by his side.
Farmer Jarrad chose a romantic meal for two, initially believing it was Cara’s idea – but it was actually planned by Carly, marking her second consecutive date with the farmer and giving her an unfair advantage over other ladies.
Meanwhile, Cara quickly picked up on Jarrad’s assumption and told the ladies he thought the idea was hers. Seizing the moment to stir the pot, she interrupted the date under the guise of grabbing wine glasses – a bold move Jarrad couldn’t help but find intriguing.
Still buzzing from his 24-hour date with Eddy, Alex had hoped the date he chose would be hers – but it turned out to belong to Gabbie: “I’d love it to be with Eddy because I think it’d be a great time. But I’m still open-minded. I want to get to know Gabbie a little bit better.”
Farmer Jason opted for Jessica’s cocktail-making idea, while Farmer Dylan and Lily enjoyed a hands-on DIY bird’s nest date.
When it came time for the first farm farewells, Dylan said goodbye to Tenille, while Jarrad sent Georgia home.
Over at Alex’s farm, ahead of the farewell, Eddy chose to say Grace at dinner – surprising Alex, who considers himself agnostic. “Having Eddy say Grace was surprising. I don’t think I’d be able to date someone or have a long-term relationship with someone who’s religious.”
After a big day – including time spent away from his ladies at the hospital – Farmer Zac decided it wasn’t the right moment to send anyone home.
Having already farewelled two women, Jason also chose to keep everyone on the farm, but the decision didn’t sit well with Jessica, who stormed out of the dining room and locked herself in her room, leaving Jason questioning whether he’d made the right call.
Tomorrow night on Farmer Wants A Wife: The annual Country Ball kicks off, sparking new romances while others quietly fizzle. But with emotions running high, who will make a dramatic exit? And our farmers face a tough call as they choose who to take to the next solo date.
