Why post in this thread then?
I’ve traced the schedule and can tell you that it will be shown in AU/NZ as well - strictly in terms of ESPN, not ABC.
The timings will be (all AEDT on Monday, Feb 9):
- 2:30pm - NFL Primetime from Levi’s
- 3:30pm - SC with Scott van Pelt from SoFi
- Approx. 5pm - Super Bowl Live from SoFi
- Midnight - US daytime programming across E1 & E2 (First Take & NFL Live from Disneyland Park) - never understand why it’s not all one channel, but I digress
Don’t know when another SBL will air, as there’s college basketball to work around, but we’re relatively fine. There will be one US SportsCenter shown at 6am on E1.
They had pretty much the same promo for last year too
Fowler, Orlovsky and Riddick better be finessing those god awful Aus/NZ references already for their call.
Example: if a player dances after a TD, Robert Irwin will somehow be mentioned
I have Game Pass all season with no issues at all watching every game
Well that is an entirely different service from the one we are talking about so I’m not sure how it’s relevant.
Sky New Zealand has renewed partnership with ESPN to keep broadcasting their channels (ESPN, ESPN2) via satellite, and streaming (Sky Sport Now & Sky Go).
It comes with the Super Bowl clashing soon.
It’s been happening again all the time since this day. Any time there is a local broadcast of a NBC or
game, ESPN AU has taken the local team feed. So I’m not sure what happened for it to revert back to this problem.
Also what’s weird is that the nba minis of those matches feature the NBC or
broadcast. So everything is just weird and messy.
Ok so it seems to be when the local feed is from a RSN network as the second game today has both Suns & Blazers feed but both are OTA or streaming and not part of ‘normal’ RSN network so ESPN AU has NBC Feed. Today’s first game they took the Boston feed and not the Mavs which is OTA. Or maybe they have fixed it again.
It’s just confusing throughout.
ESPN’s SC Blitz team are in studio in Bristol rather than in Levi’s Stadium this year for the Super Bowl.
Disney Plus Australia:
Couldn’t screenshot the ESPN Australia feed, but imagine it’s the same as Foxtel, appears very different to Seven.
ESPN Live watermark on the left (No SB LX | NBC on the right) and a completely difficult scoreboard garpahic, this one is larger, brighter and more colourful, stretching along the bottom of screen.
Because that’s their usual graphics for Monday Night Football.
at least this green screen is better than the “Stand Up To Hate. This is Australia” ads flogged on Foxtel/Kayo and Binge at the moment.
To be honest, you can find them online after the fact. Probably better that way.
