The “roundabout” at the northern end of Charlestown Square is another bad example
Pic is looking north, cars going east and west along Ridley St frequently fail to give way to cars entering/leaving the car park. Cars going east also frequently take an illegal short cut (blue line) to enter the car park. It is also not clearly signposted or marked on the road that it is actually a roundabout.
That should be a show.

This might not be all that new, but on my drive to Melbourne via the Princes Hwy, noticed that it is now dual carriageway all the way from Sale to Melbourne.
I also drove the South Gippsland Hwy from Phillip Island to Melbourne, I thought this was a freeway (or was known as one)? I can see why not, there were quite a few roundabouts, traffic lights and 60 km/h zones up to Cranbourne. That surprised me a bit.

Most of the section of South Gippsland Highway between Cranbourne and the Phillip Island turn-off has a 100 km/h speed limit but has never been gazetted as a freeway, due to roundabouts and traffic lights you have mentioned.

The Liverpool City Council had removed the diamond roundabout.

What it will cost you to drive the West Gate Tunnel: New rates revealed
New toll rates published by Transurban this week show how much each type of vehicle will be charged to use the new road and tunnel, which connects the West Gate Freeway to CityLink.
Two regular toll points are on the new road for cars, motorcycles, and utes or small trucks – at Hyde St ramps and in the tunnel itself – and will charge cars $4.09 for a one-way trip.
A third toll point near to CityLink and west Melbourne exit points is designed to whack motorists with a special AM peak toll, worth $6.54 for cars, in a bid to push more motorists away from peak periods to spread traffic across the morning.
