Fingers crossed that there are no major trackwork in the Brisbane CBD in the same period, otherwise there will be transport and traffic chaos, especially with Brisbane International tennis and BBL taking place in the city.

There is a couple of bus routes that stop close to Pat Rafter Area but are slower and take longer than catching a train out to the venue .As there is no public parking available near the venue tennis fans are encouraged to travel on public transport, the train station closest to the venue is unfortunately on the train line where there’s always been track work lately, the Beenleigh /Gold Coast line

I noticed my local Ampol has just installed EV charging. This is exactly what we need, especially for people who live in apartments where EV charging infrastructure can be problematic.

A lot of apartments have installed EV Charging. My apartment recently installed 3 stations, obviously comes at a cost.

The public chargers are starting to get expensive at about 60c per kWh I live in an apartment but have a garage that has a power point so Its around 34c per kWh so just over half or I can schedule the charge between midnight and 6am for 8 cents per kWh but it will take 3 days to fully charge the car.

The total to charge my Tesla Model 3 is about $22 using public chargersand I can travel 420km on a charge so even if you use a public charger it is still considerably cheaper than petrol.

Or Yarragon in Gippsland (M1 East), Rosebud on the Peninsula (M11) or Beaufort west of Ballarat (M8). Whichever one is longer.

I still find it unbelievable that Victoria converted their entire length of the Hume to freeway back like 30-40 years ago! If you exclude the very northern tip at Wodonga (2007), the still-to-be-fixed dangerous spot next to that pub with at-grade intersections in Kalkallo on the fringe of metro Melbourne and the Craigieburn Bypass (2005) as the Hume used to turn into Sydney Rd.

You’re right, Beaufort is a bit further than Winchelsea (by about 38 km)… I guess I picked the latter because it’s on Highway 1 (but then the Hume isn’t part of Highway 1 either).
