Thanks, could possibly be an MATV issue, but the single RF scan I also tried showed it on VHF-8.
Nine (Melbourne at least) kept the same PID for 9Life when flipping it to HD. So if the TV set isn’t rescanned, the 94 LCN would still point to 9Life HD, but the 9 LCN would still be the regular SD.
A test would be that 9GoHD on 93 should be broken, but 9GoHD on 99 should work, as that took over the SD PIDs in the same way.

Sorry my mistake. I’m not too sure what was going on with my tv, but it had never updated so did a rescan today and it was coming up as HD.

I checked the other 2 TVs in the place I’m staying at (both are LG) and they both have LCN 9 as HD, without requiring a rescan or anything.
The main TV in the loungeroom that won’t recognise 9 as HD is a CHIQ, so that probably says a lot about the TV! LCN 10 is also still SD on that TV, but LCN 7 is HD. Go figure.

I prefer the ATSC numbering instead of current LCN numbering such as 2.1 for ABC, 2.2 for ABC family 2.3 for ABC entertains and 2.4 for ABC News for example rather than LCN 21, 22, 23 and 24

Today, it’s Sydney’s turn to have Nine go mostly MPEG-4. Bizarrely, LCN 9 is still SD, despite it saying 9HD Sydney.

Great news. At last! Maybe someone on here who has the ability to contact the Mux provider should let them know about the incorrect LCN9 output. I know you’re lurking!

Yeah it is, but now 90 is back to SD… Is that how it is in the other markets? If so, that’s just dumb, just bite the bullet and do it all at once 9!
Also I don’t think 9 will be bothered to change anything with NBN now, they’re probably just waiting for WIN to be ready to transfer it to MHA now.

90 is still HD for me, 91 is SD. That’s how I think it is elsewhere.

Actually I think you’re right, I think my TV hasn’t fully updated it, because before this, I swapped 9 and 90 and hid 91 (as well as swapping 92 and 95, did the same with 7 before too) on my TV.
It’s still a stupid decision by 9 though to keep the SD main, no matter what LCN it’s on.

May just be teething issues given the channel is named “9HD Sydney” but still broadcasting in MPEG-2 SD.
Scrolling back, Adelaide had the same issue during their switchover that got fixed within the week.
I saw SBS SD on a TV the other day with appropriately chunky bezels at a cafe, there’s still plenty enough MPEG-2 only devices that the main channel staying around is fine imo. In the places they successfully put it on 91 it’s more okay.
It’s ABC TV, ABC Kids, SBS, NITV, Nine, Ten, Extra and C31 available still in MPEG-2 here. Extra being a hilarious channel to still be watchable on those old sets, I hope it’s the last one standing.
