Top story on 7 Adelaide tonight - extended package from Chris Reason, then onto the rest of the day’s news
The project unable to pivot. Only one opening segment then straight into the usual show after the break.
Probably should’ve abandoned the first half hour for rolling coverage.
Yep, my immediate thought as soon as Reason’s near 15min report came on after the Easter Monday AFL. Mike and Karina did the pre-record (or isn’t it?) opener and then went straight to the breaking news (Reason’s report), which wasn’t mentioned in the opener.
Also wonder if after 5:30pm Reason might’ve been around in the newsroom or on call and quickly reviewed and made any edits with an editor/producer as needed, prior to 6pm deadline. Regardless, it was an unbelievably thorough, up-to-date and timely package.
Will have to catch-up with the other bulletins, assuming they’ll be uploaded as-broadcast, to their bvods.

ABC iView currently lists rolling coverage on ABC-TV to run until 7pm in all states except WA, where it will end at 5:30pm
Four of the five FTA networks have scheduled late news bulletins tonight. Will Seven do a special bulletin?

Wonder if we can expect any amendments to programming tonight? Or does this not warrant it, as say a Royal death or similar coverage? Also still Easter non-ratings, outside of Seven filler shows and could be a disruptor to Seven’s Q2 launch night, also following AFL and Stawell Gift.

Are any Foxtel channels simulcasting Sky News coverage or do they have captions/crawls redirecting viewers to the news channels?

Well unsurprisingly Sky News Australia has gone back to regular programming and are currently yelling and screaming about the dangers of the labor party. They can’t neglect their free propaganda for Peter Dutton
