It clearly undermines the game beforehand. It basically nullifirles the result of their game and lets them try again.
Or it gives them a second chance to win money instead of looking like a big loser.

Just watching Gretel Killeen’s Celebrity Jackpot episode on catchup. I really think the $25,000 amount should’ve been $100,000.
The whole point of the show is it has big losers as well as big winners.
Maybe they should do it in the AFL and NRL too though - gad a humiliating loss. Don’t worry - you can spin a wheel at the end and turn it into a win.
I actually agree with Brekkie. I think the wheel undermines the show. The whole point about gambling, accepting offers, saying no deal is that the stakes are high. You could win almost nothing or a life changing amount. I think to basically gamble and “lose” and then get a free spin and then walk away with a better prize undervalues the point of the show.

For tonight’s Gogglebox special, Jad’s loved ones were also among the case holders. There was also twin brothers and their mother on the panel.
Matty, Sarah Marie and Jad set the base with great guesses in the first two rounds. Mia, Bree and Lainey stumbled in their two rounds, as green cases were revealed. Milo and Nic got the game back on track and eventually took the bank offer of $45,000. Add the banker’s donation of $500 and three correct guesses by case holders, a total of $48,500 was raised for Mates on a Mission.
Matty and Sarah’s eldest son Malik appeared by Facetime from their home on two occasions, and even guessed case 1 correctly.

According to the promo, comedians Ray O’Leary and Sam Garlepp were two of the case holders.
Mel and Tim won a total of $22,000 for Learning for Life Autism Centre tonight. The $200,000 case was revealed in the second round. When it was down to five cases, the biggest amount left was $25,000. The banker gave Tim $10,000 for opening a Chupa Chups without using his teeth, before Mel and Tim took the banker’s offer of $8000. There were also four correct guesses worth $4000.

The $200,000 case was revealed by Wiggles member John Pearce in the second round. Anthony Field went all the away to the end with two cases remaining. He had chosen case No.5 which was revealed to contain $10,000. Adding two correct guesses and $5000 from the banker for the Tree of Wisdom outdancing Grant Denyer, and a total of $17,000 was raised for Red Nose Day.
