Interestingly at 12:15 there’s an ad for South Aussie-based Le Cornu. :slightly_smiling_face:

Early 80s advert for Watermans Paints

This particular one aired on 9-8 Television in Tamworth but i have a recollection of one for the one in Newcastle. Suspect it might have been made by NBN and modified cause in the Newcastle one the address is Cleary Street Hamilton. Also it’s Wal Morrison voicing the address of the business in both cases

Oh I remember this ad. :grimacing:

And there’s some background info under the YouTube video:

A great TVC to work on. This was a stunningly realistic location for the action to take place. We still cringe when the lady is struck by the football. When we filmed the TVC the lady actually had the football thrown at her face by a reluctant crew member. We tested the football many times and it was filled with a soft material to ensure it didn’t hurt. We still remember how throwing the ball at the lady’s head made us all feel squirmish.

Mia Agraviador was on Today Extra last week, to celebrate 20 years since her appearance in the Old El Paso commercial in which she said “why not have both?” in Spanish.

Does anyone remember a commercial that had the line “even though we’re all grown up now, we still look after each other”. I believe it featured a family with three kids and a kitten and ends with the children as adults.
(Sorry if I’m being vague, I’m just going off memory)

Would have been the dying days of them being a government owned monopoly. Optus had just entered the market and they were being prepared for privatisation

Very late to the party here. I remember this Crown Central jingle from listening to i98 circa 1994, so it stuck around a couple of years. Thanks for posting!
