Remembering the victims that were killed in the Christchurch Attack last Friday.

Also last week, a Highlanders v Crusaders game being played in Dunedin had to be cancelled in the wake of the terror attacks. This resulted in these two teams receiving a draw.

Fascinating discussion on the subject on RNZ’s MediaWatch this week, listen here.

Problem is parents hand this stuff down to the next generation so you can’t obliterate it.

A national day of remembrance will take place on Friday at Hagley Park, Christchurch

The latest issue of Who magazine and Woman’s Day both dedicate six pages to cover the aftermath of the attacks including commemorations, including an editor’s note. New Idea has none.

The National Remembrance Service will be live from 9:55am on TVNZ 1 Friday

From TVNZ 1 Facebook page.
"Friday’s National Remembrance Service is an opportunity for all New Zealanders to come together as one to pay our respects. As Official Broadcaster, TVNZ will provide live uninterrupted coverage of the Christchurch event.
TVNZ’s coverage, presented by Hilary Barry and Scotty Morrison, with John Campbell in the field, will begin at 9.55am on TVNZ 1

The official service begins at 10am and TVNZ won’t carry commentary from our presenting team until the conclusion of formalities. Our coverage will run through to approximately 11.30am.

We’ll also live stream the event on TVNZ OnDemand and 1 NEWS NOW. Overseas viewers will be able to watch our special coverage via the 1 NEWS NOW live stream.

Kō tātau, tātau – we are one."
