And @Rob_Melb_AU if you re-store the preset, that will update the station name.
My parentsā Subaru Forester doesnāt have an FM1 & FM2, just a single FM list which can store up to 12 stations.
Here it is how it stands at the moment:

I donāt quite use frequency order - my FM 1 is instead:
1 = KIIS 101.1
2 = Fox 101.9 = 102
3 = Nova 100.3
4 = Gold 104.3
5 = Triple M 105.1
6 = Triple J - which ruins the system, so obviously I should replace it with PBS.
I canāt remember what I have on FM2/3, Iāve got Smooth and Joy in there at least, but the rest is usually just regional/community with no particular order to them.
AM doesnāt use a system, but at the moment it is - SEN, MSR, SEN+, ABC 774, ABC News, 3KND. SEN+ is only in there because I havenāt replaced it since it was Classic Rock.
Itās very clear to me how sophisticated new radios are with regards to tuning. The stock radio in my sedan, which was pretty decent for its time (2000) just sounded awful on FM compared to my new Sony XAV-AX100. The old radio lost reception going north at around Hornsby, but now I can clearly pick up Sydney FM stations all the way up to Wyong, and from then on itās occasionally listenable all the way to Newcastle.
If you take the old Pacific Hwy through Doyalson and up the east side of Lake Macquarie, itās usually listenable all the way up to Charlestown (which is on a big hill just 10 kms south of Newcastle).
Here are my presets. Bit lazy to write them. I was listening to 2st not a preset. It was refreshing to hear some rain activity out at Richmond. Funny it is so far away from 2st itself, I miss local radio.
Yeah it does. Its a Kia Carnival. Nice car. I like the radio, but I do miss the old fashion radio where you use a simple dial but no complaints, great Android auto, jbl speakers, a lot better than my previous car with those horrible dab glitches.
I agree that a dial is better for tuning than buttons. but I couldnāt go back to the old slide rule (analogue) display. Digital display (frequency display) tuning is soooooo good.
