Impressive.

The new ABC offices will include modern production studios alongside content making, technical and administrative operations.

looks like the ABC will be moving a lot of it’s children’s programming to Adelaide. Bananas in Pyjamas has been commissioned for this year.

Is welcome to see some ABC content production outside of Sydney/Melbourne. Is Bananas now a co-production? As the live action series was shot in Sydney as an in-house production. Guessing the extra Govt grant to the ABC would stipulate that production is now outsourced.

TBH… I think they should move all pre school children’s programming to Adelaide. Including Play School.

The ABC would likely welcome the opportunity to centralize its children’s programming. However, that model would only succeed if the ABC were genuinely willing to adopt a clearly defined, dedicated approach similar to the CBeebies model for ABC Kids.

I am quite familiar with the three towers at Knights Hill
The BAI guyed mast is fm only, I think it has the old National fm array at the top when they were running the fm’s at 150/40KW and below that the new Fm Array for the new Specs of 120/40KW.

The BAI guyed mast used to have the analogue array for ABC / SBS / SCA / Prime at the very top of the mast, but was removed when they installed the replacement DTV array on the 135m self supporting tower.

The WiN guyed mast out of the short has the WIN broadcast array at the very top. Bellow that is the Power fm antenna directional to the SW, and directly below that is the i98 / Wave fm antenna directional to the NE.

The former 100m high WIN analogue tv tower had the old analogue array for WiN59, and directly below that were the arrays for Power fm and i98 and Wave Fm.

Due to the low height of the old WIN tower, WIN analogue tv reception.was the weakest of the Wollongong tv signals into Sydney. Prime, SCA10, ABC and SBS had a much stronger signal coming from the higher tower at the BAI site. Now in the digital era WiN is the strongest signal into Sydney from their guy tower.

They did that in the 80s when it was all meant to be based in Adelaide back then.

This is the second attempt.
