Probably the best place to put it: From Kansas City, Missouri: KCTV’s transmitter tower is relit in LEDs after 20 years, as Kansas is one of the cities where World Cup matches would be held in the US.
This is their own coverage - complete with a small nod to their past symbol with the tower!
The background of the tower (the weather lights promo featured can be seen in full here):
oh and here’s some pictures I took of media HQs around Stockholm, Cologne and Tokyo from 2023 and last year:
Swedish Television/educational radio and Swedish Radio: Just opposite of each other
I stumbled across a website that features before and after aerial photography of Cyclone Tracy. Here is the NTD8 studio from June 1974 and from January 1975 showing the damage. A pic from July 2022 shows the site as it stands now. The TV tower appeared to survive the cyclone.
Top one is June 1974, middle one is August 2022 and the final shot is January 1975. I must have screwed up the order of the photos. I’m blaming a mega early start this morning courtesy of Mechie Jnr, lol.
Inside the SCA (BCV8, SCTV, Southern Cross Ten) Bendigo TV Studios, May 2024.
The much loved studios had an enduring and successful life with TVC’s, photoshoots and all sorts of video content still being produced (and often) days before this pic was taken.
Now the building has sold (SCA remain as tenants) and SCA has divested from TV.
