This event is back for another year. They went with sticker motif this time - seems a bit cumbersome.
Though the object variety reminds of 2017-19 “inflatables” era.
(Recency bias very much evident - It was held on a Saturday between 2012 and 2019, yet loads of confusion online. We’re back to normal now, look at it that way.)
Earlier this month, Radio 1 producers put together a Newsbeat package about the new Super Mario movie, which was soundtracked by a song from the rapper Childish Gambino.
However, the clip of the song, which aired at 12.45pm, contained an uncensored use of the N-word, which went undetected before it was aired again five hours later.
Fat Boy Slim, Calvin Harris and Jason Derulo alone would probably fill Wembley.
Don’t forget, this is not Australia we are talking about. The UK has 3 times the population and these 3 artists were massive in their prime and nostalgia alone would see a big crowd turn out to see them.
On radio, Radio 4 and 5 Live will join forces for an overnight results programme presented by Nick Robinson and Rachel Burden.
The program airs from 11pm to 6am, and will also be carried by all the Local Radio stations (preceded by localized Electioncast).
Rachel will then stay on for 5 Live Breakfast until 9am if the EPG is to be believed. Then except the three-hour EPL preview at night, it’s Election 26 for the rest of the day.
Times Radio has Adam Boulton for the overnight hours (1-6am) and is branded 2026 Elections Live all day. LBC has Lewis Goodall from 10pm (simulcast on LBC News), then an extended Nick Ferrari shift from 6am.
