Have Twisties just jumped the shark?

People who have tasted them say that Caviar Twisties aren’t bad.

Can’t say the same about their past efforts with raspberry and doughnuts.

Ms Taylor’s ‘Katie Perry’ trademark will be cancelled unless she applies for special leave to appeal to the High Court.

The court also ordered her to pay Perry’s costs for the appeal and cross-appeal.

I feel really sorry for Katie Perry the designer. She set up her own small business when she was just 11. That’s 16 years of blood, sweat and tears, gone. After paying the massive legal costs, I think she will not have any money to re-establish her label with another brand.

Today’s court ruling will also affect people whose birth names spell similar to Katy Perry the singer.

Another case of shonky shrinkflation.

Sakata is using new style of packaging after they shrunk their packs from 90g to 80g. This follows on from the last time they shrunk it from 100g.

Meanwhile, their competition brand, Fantastic, still has the same style packaging and the same amount in the pack 100g.

I don’t mind this case - it’s very clear they are giving you less from the packaging - versus just taking another 6 or whatever crackers out of the standard packaging.

It’s things like the Cadbury blocks of shaving a few grams a year off - make each block a little smoother, etc. but still look visually like the old block when you can’t compare them.

I’m just shocked there’s no company switching to 330mL cans.

So you don’t mind being ripped off by paying the same amount for less and less product?

You’ve been brainwashed.

This isn’t a sneaky reduction in quantity, it’s blatant that they have cut the quantity and are terrible value when you look at them on the shelf next to the other brands. I just much prefer that honesty than the sly shrinkage you see in other brands, compared to their last change of just slyly taking 10 grams out of the same style package.

I buy the home brand rice crackers because they are just as good imo.

Yeah, I don’t understand why they don’t just increase their prices. How can they think shrinking packaging is better for their products? I’m not going to buy this smaller pack now. I’m going to but the 100g pack even if it costs more.

I’ve stopped buying the Cadbury chocolate bars now which are like fun size bars now at 45g. Absolute waste of money.

Because people a generally less perceptive of a reduction in product size than they are of an increase in price. If the price goes up, the consumer will be quick to look for lower-cost alternatives. If the size decreases but the price stays the same, the average consumer will likely not notice for a while.

I saw the banner on Monday. It promotes Hahn SuperDry 3.5%.

Tupperware is set to cease operations in Australia, following the sale of the global business after it filed for bankruptcy.

“We’ve been told that the new owners … are not proceeding with Tupperware in Australia,” Tupperware consultant Maria told 2GB on Monday.

“They’re only keeping eight countries open out of 70, and unfortunately Australia is not one of them.”

Outdated sales model that just didn’t keep up with the times is what I believe killed it. Really needed a full featured online store that didn’t rope you into planning a party.

Eventually, they’re going to be so small it’ll be rediculous.

wonder of Peter Adderton will use some of the money to buy a V8 supercars team - he’s been wanting to own one for years and tickford is for sale…
