For the first time, older Apple TV models will not be getting the latest version of tvOS. When tvOS 27 arrives later this year, it will skip both Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K (1st Gen).
tvOS 26.6 marks the end of major updates for Apple TV HD. Since launching in 2015, the box has received the latest version of tvOS for 11 consecutive years, along with a steady stream of new features.
The same applies to Apple TV 4K (1st Gen), which will have received 9 years of tvOS updates.

Last Seen premieres globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, 9 September, with the first two episodes available at launch before new episodes roll out weekly until 7 October.
Small Prophets premieres on Apple TV (except the UK) on October 7. It will stream on the platform in the UK in 2027 but is available now on BBC iPlayer.

Worldwide rights? But this has already screened in Australia. Does the ABC have first screening rights then it goes to Apple TV?

For Australia, it will be second window rights for Apple TV. For countries which have not shown the series, it will be premiere rights.
