Tropo forecast suggests a few good days for the S.E. coast.
Out at Harden with the 3 els beam. 99.1 XL FM Cabramurra/Mt Selwyn is on air! Best catch is 103.7 Swan Hill up clearly. Sydney FMs also with RDS. Braidwood FM is receivable but no RDS.
We are using a desktop version of the TEF this time.
DXed at the Mersey Bluff Lighthouse Devonport this morning.
The predictions of some Bass Strait action came to fruition, seems like an impressive list without the benefit of local knowledge.

Even now in Launceston, I can still get all 3 Ballarat ABC stations in my hotel room!
Update: Also have ABCs from Bendigo, Melbourne (plus SBS) and Gippsland, plus Hit and MMM Bendigo too!
Went up to the Bungendore DX hill this morning with the big gun setup, but results were pretty pedestrian. Some of the signal levels were awesome though: Orange ABCs at a massive 70 dB; Sydney around 50-54 dB. 97.1 was just Taree around 15-20 dB- not much of 2MG unfortunately.
The strong Bass Strait tropo experienced by @Radiohead isnāt making it here. It might have been interesting from Mount Cooper this morning but alas, dxer22000 was visiting here!
Some more impressive reception in Launceston today.
Had Classic and JJJ Bega/Cooma as my highlight! Also heard TRFM 99.5 Traralgon and I think 3REG Bairnsdale too (as there was modern music in borderline stereo on 105.5, and didnāt match 105.9 Melbourne).
In addition to what i listed yesterday, I also got the Ballarat stations on 94.3, 102.3 and 103.1, Bendigo 3BPH 88.7, and most Melbourne wide stations, many with RDS as well.
Not a complete list of this morningās FM DX via the Melb Remote webserver, but a listing of the better logs with focus towards Tassie.

106.1 7DBS Wynyard
106.3 7QN Roseberry
107.1 Another stn under Triple J Ballarat, 7XS???
Great list!
Rosebery must be shielded by the mountains here, canāt get them in Launceston, and i donāt think I had them in Devonport either.
Your 95.7 is probably 7SD Scottsdale.
100.9 is presumably 7BU?
First time ever went to Burragorang Lookout at Nattai for a day trip, could not do any extensive dxing as was a family day trip.
Highlights where-
Eagle fm was at moderate to good strength on the car radio. No GNFM, Triple M CC dominated the frequency even at the south facing lookout. GNFM did cause some CCI to Triple M in a couple of spots.
Power fm / 102.9 2ST was strong, 91.7 2ST was received but weak.
All Canberra fn stations were received ranging from weak to moderate. commercials / Community being the weakest and the nationals at moderate strength.
This is probably the best spot for Canberra reception within the greater Sydney region, it is no surprise considering it faces due south at an altitude of 600m with LOS into the Southern Highlands. Canberra dab+ would be possible here with big Canberra Tropo events. I need to go back and do more extensive dxing at this location.
Lastly the view is pretty good too.
You need to get up towards Cradle Mountain to hear 7XS 107.1, though I think you can just hear it in parts of Burnie.
At Cradle itself, you can also hear 92.1 7XS.
@Ant5476- any sign of 2BRW from Burragorang? Iād venture reception would be good there during tropo, probably the closest location to Sydney where Braidwood FM is commonly received.
@Radiohead , you are striking it lucky with the Bass Strait tropo, I had dead flat conditions in May 2018 when I last visited. If youāre going to Bridport or the Bay of Fires area you might even get further into NSW, pity 95.7 is now blocked.
I did not have time to check as I was out with the family on a day trip.
Will have to make a solo trip there again and do a ban scan.
Other than ABC Central Coast, I had not had any decent Tropo on 92.5 since Music FM went off the air.
Until now!
Looks like the Bass Strait Tropo has reached the Highlands.
93.3 was also received in a null of 2RPH and 94.1 was mixing with Pulse Kiama
Edit 9:38pm: All gone now.
Tropo between Canberra and Sydney tonight,
Eagle quite strong on the peaks, just below RDS.
All Canberra ABC National fm stations receivable, 102.3 Classic fn the strongest as per normal with itās signal just below stereo freeholdās on the peaks.
Of the 20KWās from Black Mountain only 1WAY 2XXFm, and Mix 106.3. Mix the weakest just above the noise floor and the splatter of KIIS 106.5
Also 2BA Batemans Bay in but weak.
Of the local signals Power fm is around normal strength but 2ST is significantly weaker than normal. looks like the signal is being bent away by the ducts running between Sydney and Canberra tonight.
Great catch Dani!
Iām heading east tomorrow, the Weldborough Pass has a lookout and is quite elevated, be interesting to see what I can get there assuming the tropo sticks around.
Great catches, just the usual ABC CC on 92.5 and 2RPH on 93.3 for me.
Very strong Goulburn reception into Sydney this morning, Eagle fm received on the dx setup with full RDS, and perfect stereo on the peaks. It was even strong enough for stereo separation on the car radio.
GNFM causing CCI to Triple M CC near Rouse Hill Metro station. Not quite strong enough to cut over the top of Triple M CC.
2MG received on the car radio near the Rouse Hill Metro station, this is the first time I have received it since fm conversion in Sydney.
Weak Classic fm Mt Dowe.
7XS doesnāt get out very far at all, by the rugged terrain of the West Coast.
In normal conditions you often lose them on 107.1 as you come past Cradle Mountain when JJJ Ballarat cuts in, before they come back further north (at a lower elevation).
Well this is quite some tropo ā¦ Taken at The Sideling Lookout near Scottsdale TAS 10am todayā¦some 790 kmā¦
Also had Gold and 99.9 TRFM Bairnsdale, and 2EC/Power Bega all with RDS too.
Also had 94.9 Power FM RDS on the car radio at one point too!
By the time I got to Weldborough Pass, 94.9 was Triple J Hamilton VIC.
The Bass Strait Tropo went in both directions!
Amazing! I should have got up much earlierā¦
