AFL

Would’ve been at least Twilight on the east coast if they played it in daytime in Perth anyway - otherwise it would’ve been to early in Perth if they still did the whole 2:30pm AEST thing.

Watching this AFLW match on 7, did they not open the gates to the public?

I’m here, still trying to come to terms with it. Yesterday hurt pretty hard

I think it’s time for him to go - the turning point this year after the mid season bye showed that we had one playbook and the teams we were coming up against had been able to combat it. We’ve missed a tall forward since Buddy retired (and even when he was there and didn’t play), we rely to heavily on Heeney and we’re lost when he’s not there, but more importantly our ability to take a contested mark has been garbage for years and it really limits our play.

Give the job to Dean Cox and try and lure Stewy Dew back to assist IMO

I get this, but I disagree, especially when you cant compete on the day

Agree. Port getting belted is now a forgotten memory. It’s the Swans and this performance which will be front and centre for the offseason.

Until the Swans redeem themselves and win another flag, it’s all that’ll be on the back of our minds, especially their fans and Nsw. After 2022 and 2024 and how unfortunately embarrassing it is, it’s probably set the code back years in that state especially being NRL’s home and Sydney media, it’ll hurt for some time. But sport is sport and followers will hopefully realise that and remain loyal. Not do an Essendon burn memberships and upload video to social media.

On the flip side, and fortunate for the AFL, probably the opposite for the Lions and Queensland, will be riding some wave for a while and should capitalise on it.

Sam Newman slams AFL Grand Final ‘disgrace’

“They are a disgrace. They should be censured by the AFL for taking the piss out of this competition”.

“I’ve watched the Swans. I tipped the Swans today. I watched the Swans get belted by Geelong in 2022. They didn’t try. And today they came down to the MCG. Took the oxygen out of the city. Both sided, because no Melbourne sides were playing. And we thought wow, here we go. And once again they refused to try."

So part of his problem is that two Non-Victorian teams made the GF? He does know it’s the AFL, not VFL.
