Triple M coverage for Round 12 - It will cover all six matches this round. Strangely, Demons v Swans this Saturday will be broadcast in Sydney only on digital radio, even though the analogue frequency is available (the NRL clash between Sea Eagles and NZ Warriors won’t be heard on Triple M Sydney).

Ebony Marinoff, her former Crows teammate Talia Radan (coach of West Adelaide in SANFLW) and The West Australian reporter Jordan McArdle are expert commentators for the ABC’s call of Adelaide v West Coast on Saturday.

Nine Radio bosses in Sydney have come to their senses as Thursday Night Football returns to 3AW tonight for the Richmond v Carlton blockbuster.

The blockbuster factor is probably the only reason. If it wasn’t Carlton and Richmond I don’t think they’d bother.

Last week’s broadcast of Richmond v Carlton was a one-off for 3AW, as it is skipping this Thursday’s clash between Melbourne and Brisbane Lions.

Triple M coverage for Round 15 - former Kangaroos coach Dani Laidley will provide expert comments for Bulldogs v Hawks on Friday.

That’s a bizarre decision considering Melbourne v Brisbane is a 2 v 1 match-up.

Most Dees fans probably listen to 774 anyway so there is little benefit for 3AW broadcasting it!

Possibly a Chance to Broadcast Sea Eagles and Storm Instead?

No 3AW will never broadcast NRL (unless maybe a Grand Final).

Sister station wouldn’t have the rights being a Thursday Night game (MMM have it exclusively).

Herald Sun reports that the latest footy radio ratings show that 3AW and Triple M are the big winners, both posting pleasing numbers. Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen’s Sunday Sport program, airing Sundays from midday to 2pm, is a winning combination doing well for 3AW, rating 12.4. SEN remained the same at 2.7 overall.

Noticed this on the AFL site - Mandarin language coverage streaming of the Collingwood v North game
image.

Do any stations take that call, Google suggests 3ZZZ had some involvement - but there’s other programming on there at the moment.

Kevin Bartlett makes his return to 3AW Football today for Hawthorn v Adelaide at Marvel Stadium, according to Mark Allen on Sunday Sport just now. It will be Bartlett’s first call since Round 1.

EDIT: KB revealed during pre-game that his wife has been very ill and he has been away caring for her. He won’t be calling today’s game, it will be Matt Granland and Bruce Eva leading the call.
